This mod is the culmination of a lot of work done together by EmeraldReign, Weijiesen, VT08 and others. Undoubtedly the best HD replayer of all Ranger armor, as well as a few nice bonuses.

The distribution contains both the original translated files and the so-called combo edition, which unites most of them. Also included is a patch for Project Nevada, adding visors and other additions to mod helmets.

Fallout New Vegas ranger armor (or rather, patrol ranger armor) is the very suit from the trailer and from the cover of the game, so beloved by many gamers. Belongs to the NKR faction - it is worn only by the best fighters of the republic, called rangers.

Description and appearance of the ranger's armor

In Fallout New Vegas, the NCR Ranger Patrol costume is the third generation of combat armor. It was created for the special police units in Los Angeles.

It is designed to meet several principles. First of all, this is convenience. The composite plates move in such a way that the wearer can move smoothly without constraint. The second principle is safety. Reinforced body armor and a special composite collar cover the body and neck of the wearer.

On top of the armor itself, a brown, presumably leather, cloak is worn below the knees. From under the raincoat are visible belts from the hydrator and a special belt with compartments for cartridges. On top of the sleeves, special bracers are attached to protect the forearms from shrapnel and bullets. A pistol holster is attached to the right leg in the mid-thigh area with a wide belt.

The set includes a closed helmet-mask with a gas mask. It provides complete head and airway protection in the Mojave Wasteland. By default, the helmet has a built-in night vision device and a dual-mode searchlight operating in infrared and visible light range.

The patrol ranger armor has excellent characteristics - some of the best in the game:

The suit adds 20 points to the damage limit.
The helmet will add 4 more.
The kit (helmet and cloak) weighs 38 pounds, which is quite a lot.

It is interesting that the armor looks badly worn - all the clothes are in holes and scuffs, the helmet is streaked with traces of bullets, rust shows through here and there. However, this does not affect combat capabilities.

Ranger armor features

The suit adds the status of an NKR citizen and all related privileges. The kit can only be repaired with similar items without the Crazy Hands ability. If there is one, then the cloak can be repaired with medium armor, and the helmet - with any glasses and headdresses.

In addition to the standard suit, Fallout New Vegas also has a unique set - the desert ranger's combat armor. It appears in the Honest Hearts expansion and was previously owned by the Survivor. This is still the pre-war outfit in which the owner participated in the Chinese campaigns.

The most noticeable differences from the regular NCR Ranger armor are the chest plates painted in desert camouflage and a red bandana instead of a holster on the leg. On the helmet, the sentence "Forgive me, Mom" \u200b\u200bis scrawled in large letters, as well as two Chinese cities - Shanghai and Nanjing. Beneath them are months, probably, of special operations.

The main advantage of the desert ranger's combat armor is its improved performance. It provides 2 more damage limit than the standard version and weighs 5 pounds less. The helmet weighs nothing at all and gives 5 points of the damage limit. The model does not have a built-in night vision device.

As for Fallout 4. Unfortunately, NKR is only mentioned in the game and does not directly participate in events, so there are simply no corresponding kits there. However, this issue is fixed by mods. For example, you can add the NCR Veteran Ranger Armor kit to the Commonwealth yourself.

Maud NCR Ranger Veteran Armor - will add to Fallout 4 two new armor for NCR soldiers, as well as a revolver and a large-caliber automatic and sniper rifle. The armor has the ability to modify, the cloak has physics.
