Paper cacti are colorful and evergreen. Blooming paper cacti in pots with a secret Paper cactus

I suggest decorating your desktop or windowsill with paper cacti - it’s beautiful, green, and requires no watering! So, are you ready to make an unpretentious green friend? =) Then go ahead!

You will need:

  • double-sided cardboard (paper) of various shades of green,
  • paints,
  • scissors,
  • glue gun or PVA,
  • pencil,
  • ruler,
  • small pot or tall tin can,
  • stones.

1. Using a ruler and pencil, draw the contours of a cactus on green paper. Note: corners must be rounded.

2. Using paint two shades lighter than the cardboard base, draw vertical lines.

3. When the paint is completely dry, cut out the details of the cactus.

4. Make a deep cut in the center of the main part.

5. Insert the rectangular piece inside the main one, secure with a drop of glue. Here's a 3D effect for you!

The cactus is ready! Can be placed in a pot with stones.

But if you don’t draw very well, and your relationship with drawing is strained, I suggest ready-made paper cactus diagrams. Just print out the pieces, color them to your liking and cut them out - that's all!

When coloring cacti, do whatever you want: waves or stripes, dotted lines or needles, crosses or chevrons (signs similar to the English letter “V”, rotated in a variety of ways). Or maybe it will be dots or stars? Don't hesitate - give free rein to your imagination!

Secure the manufactured cacti with natural or decorative stones. An excellent alternative to a pot would be a regular tin can, wrapped in a bright paper strip.

Wait, something is missing... Ah-ah-ah, perhaps flowers? Making them is very easy! Take a small piece of corrugated paper and squeeze it into an intricate ball or fold it like an accordion - the flower is ready, all you have to do is glue it on.

A simpler option is a small fancy piece cut out of cardboard of your favorite color, inserted into a barely noticeable cut in the top of the cactus (see illustration). By the way, the next photo shows cacti painted with a sponge - this is in case you don’t have green cardboard on hand.

Hello cactus! Dear feisty one,
My funny green hedgehog!
Cute thorn
Why are you living like hell?
For what reason
Are there too many thorns on you?
Isn't it because in the desert
Did everyone want to eat you?
And a donkey with a stupid face
I wanted to eat you
And the camel, the two-humped sage,
With a hanging lip.
From resentment, from fear
You're overgrown with thorns
And now enemy and friend
You sting your nose indiscriminately.
Don't stab me, don't!
Let me touch with your hand.
Oddly enough, I'm very happy
I'm communicating with you.
I won't touch the untouchable
I want to hug you,
And little by little thorns
They will become leaves again.

For work we need the following materials:

- corrugated paper of the desired colors (your choice)
-plasticine
-scissors
-ballpoint pen refill
-toothpick
-eyes (sold in craft departments)
Let's start our work with the fact that we need to fashion a small pot (I used 2 pieces of plasticine) and a base for the future cactus of the chosen shape. The cactus can be round or flattened (also 2 pieces of plasticine)

Then we make blanks from corrugated paper, without unfolding the paper roll, (in different colors of your choice), we cut a strip 1-1.5 cm wide

We get stripes like this

Now, cut these strips into squares

For a flower on a cactus, we choose yellow corrugated paper and cut strips 1.5 cm wide and 3-3.5 cm long, fold the strips in half and cut out the petals of the intended shape

All the blanks are ready, you can start making the craft, we begin to decorate the pot - we wrap it with a flagellum twisted from a strip of corrugated paper.

These are the flagella I got

We start wrapping the pot from the bottom

The base for the cactus needs to be well strengthened with a toothpick.

Based on the base for the cactus, we select a place for attaching the eyes, but first, we attach the eyes to small balls of plasticine, so that later the eyes will be at the level of the spines. And on top, in the place where the flower will be located, we attach a flattened ball.

for trimming we will need squares of green corrugated paper and the refill of a ballpoint pen. We place the stick in the middle of the square, closing its corner to corner, crumple the paper around the stick, twirling it between our fingers to form a tube.

Without removing the tube from the rod, we stick it into the plasticine, starting from the bottom

We perform trimming from the bottom up

Now let’s start making a flower on a cactus, to do this we put the rod on the petal, 2/3 of its length and twist it into a tube

We stick a rod with a petal at the very bottom edge of the disk.

We stick all the petals around the circle of the disk, and fill the middle with tubes of yellow squares.

And we fill the very middle of the flower with tubes of orange squares.

It remains to add a little expressiveness to our cactus (nose and mouth) and our cheerful cactus is ready.

Today's master class will be devoted to creating such a craft as “Paper Cactus”.

You need to prepare several materials and tools:

  • colored paper (you can use single-sided paper) in a green shade;
  • a simple pencil;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • red corrugated paper.

So, first we create the base of the cactus - its ribs. Cut a wide strip from a standard A4 sheet of paper.

Divide this strip into three or four parts. Fold the blanks in half with the colored side facing in.

Make six or seven of these pieces.

On the back of the paper we draw this sketch.

Now we add all the strips (and there are only six of them) inside this blank.

Next we need to create the cactus spines. To do this, you need a small piece of green colored paper. We fold it in half and draw these miniature spines on it. Then they need to be cut out.

Now let's make a cactus flower. We chose red corrugated paper. Cut a small piece from the crepe ribbon and fold it several times.

Cut out the petals; you can first draw their outline on paper. The result should be petals like these.

We stretch them, giving them the required shape.

And then we twist their lower part with our fingers. We do this action with all the petals.

Then we put them together and twist them again.

We collect all the other parts of the craft.

The flower is glued in at the last stage. Place it at the top of the cactus.

If necessary, shorten the flower petals. Also fluff up its spines.

Trim the bottom of the cactus and cut off any excess paper.

Place the cactus in a decorative planter. Decorate it with any decor you like. Imitation of small pebbles can be made using pistachio shells.

That's all, the paper cactus is ready!

Volumetric paper applique. DIY cactus

Required materials and tools

■ Colored paper (yellow, green and red)

■ Scissors

■ Glue, it is better to use a glue stick

Step-by-step process for making a Cactus applique

1. Select a yellow sheet of thick paper for the background. A4 format. You can use a sheet of yellow cardboard.

2. Cut out the templates.

3. Fold a sheet of green paper in half, apply the templates to the fold and cut out 4-5 pieces of each piece.

4. From red paper we cut out spines for the cactus - very thin strips (slightly pointed towards one edge) 1.5-3 cm long.

5. We begin gluing the cactus from the bottom tier. To do this, take one of the largest parts of the cactus, coat half of its outer side with glue, glue 4-5 needles onto it and glue the other part of the petal on top.

6. By analogy, we glue together all the parts of the same size, gluing needles between them.

7. Similarly, we glue all the other elements of the cactus. The result was five cactus shoots with needles.

8. Glue the shoots to the background, connecting them together.

9. We are making a blooming cactus, so we move on to making flowers. Using the stencil, cut out 4 red flowers. Flowers can be of other shapes.

10. Fold each petal in half lengthwise - the petals become “alive”, they rise up.

10. Glue the finished flowers to the shoots of the cactus.

Helpful advice. You can plant a cactus in a pot. To do this, you will first need to cut out a pot from colored paper, for example, in the form of a trapezoid.

On Women's Day, someone gives their mother a bouquet of flowers, while others present fresh flowers in a pot. Or you can make a gift for March 8th with your own hands. This doesn't require much. For example, you can do DIY paper gifts. There are a lot of such crafts.

There is such a wonderful technique called “cutting”. Let's try to create a charming cactus made of crepe paper using the cutting technique. You'll see - it's very simple! Craft paper cactus can be performed by children from 7 to 8 years old and adults.

A master class with detailed photos will show how to make DIY cactus.

You will need the following materials:

  • crepe paper (corrugated paper or regular napkins),
  • newspaper,
  • small pot,
  • any threads,
  • skewer,
  • PVA glue,
  • scissors,
  • flower (can be made from colored paper).

Cut the skewer with scissors and break it in half.

We leave the second part - it will serve as a crosscut for us. If you don’t have skewers, then an ordinary pencil can easily cope with this role.

Place the first half of the skewer, which has a sharp end, in the middle of the pot and stuff it tightly with newspaper.

From another newspaper we crumple a tight lump, which we wrap with thread so that it holds its shape.

Cover the newspaper in the pot with crepe paper and secure it with a little glue.

We prick the prepared newspaper base for our cactus onto a skewer.

Cut 3/3 cm squares from green crepe paper.

I haven’t counted exactly how many crosscuts are needed, but you will need a lot of them. My cactus took a little less than half a roll of crepe paper.

The main cutting tool is a long thin stick with a blunt end.

Using the straight, blunt end of the second part of the skewer, we make trimmings.

Place the blunt end of the stick in the middle of the square, then carefully twist the paper around the stick.

Without removing the paper from the stick, dip the lower part into PVA glue and glue the part to the base.

We start gluing from the bottom, moving gradually upward. We glue the parts as close to each other as possible so that there are no gaps left.

Let's decorate! Our cactus has bloomed!

You can make eyes and a mouth out of cardboard for a cactus and then it will “come to life.” If you don’t have a ready-made decorative flower, you can also cut it out of colored or crepe paper.

Such an original, cute, homemade gift will surely delight and surprise your mother or grandmother.

Using this technique you can create a wide variety of interesting crafts, for example, hedgehog made using the trimming technique. Since the craft is much smaller, in this case I used smaller end pieces (2/2 cm). The body is made from baby modeling mass and painted with acrylic paints.

Have fun creating!

I was glad to help!
