Paper houses. House made of paper

An unusual and original craft - a house made of paper. It's easy to do it yourself. Involve children in the process, and such joint creativity will bring you a lot of fun! Making a craft is not at all difficult. Diagrams that you can draw yourself or find on the Internet will help you create a house out of paper. For example, like this

What will it take?

  • paper
  • cardboard
  • scissors
  • paints

Print out the template you like and carefully cut it out with scissors. To ensure that the front door can open and close freely when cutting out the doorway, leave one side untouched and simply bend it back. Now all that remains is to glue the house together and secure the roof. You can use PVA glue or a glue stick. You can decorate such a house with sparkles, outlines, and bows. Don't forget to add tenants to the house!

Making a house using the scrapbooking technique is easy and simple, but it will look harmonious in your home and will be an excellent decoration

Fans of the scrapbooking technique will appreciate this house, which will become an original gift wrapping or even an independent souvenir for any holiday: Birthday or New Year.

We copy the diagram onto watercolor paper, mark the gluing points and cut out the blank. We bend it along the lines. We cut out parts from paper with a New Year's ornament that are 2mm smaller than the blank and glue them to it.

We will also need two pictures depicting the New Year's interior measuring 5.5x6 cm and 3x3 cm. Using the size of the larger picture, we cut out a window frame and a door “with glass” from white paper.

We paste a picture on the wall of the house and add a window and a door. Secure with double-sided tape. We attach the door handle brads.

We cut out strips from watercolor paper using a border hole punch and cover the roof with them from bottom to top to form tiles. Add platbands on the sides and glue the house together.

We fix the bottom. We glue the roof only on one side so that it can open. On the opening side of the lid we will glue an inscription or a wish. We attach the lock. We fix the pendant on it, and to fix the lid we wrap the end of the lace around the upper brace.

Cut out a ring from thick paper and glue the spruce legs cut out with a hole punch onto it, add a lace bow, gold braid and roses. We decorate the opposite side of the house with such a wreath.

As you can see, it is not difficult to make. And the variety of design will depend only on your imagination.

Paper dollhouse

A doll house is every girl's dream! And it is easy to implement with the help of simple tools and the help of adults. But a paper dollhouse can be a good gift not only for a child or even an adult girl. In this case, it will turn into a cute souvenir reminiscent of a carefree childhood.

What will be required to create it?

  • breadboard knife
  • PVA glue and glue stick
  • double-sided and regular tape
  • corrugated cardboard, regular cardboard
  • ruler
  • simple pencil
  • colored paper
  • textile

We take a large, preferably one-color, box and allocate it to the playing area. We cut out a large window on this side with a breadboard knife.

We make roof slopes: we cut off the corners on the two end sides of the lid, and from the remaining two we make slopes and glue them with tape.

We mark windows and doors, taking into account the rooms you plan to create. We cut out the windows using a breadboard knife so that the openings are 2-3mm larger than the platbands - in this case, the corrugated cardboard sections will be inside. We cut out the platbands: the outer ones come with bindings, the inner ones - in the form of frames.

The floor of the second floor can be glued with tape or fixed with glue if it fits tightly into the base box. We immediately cover it with “floor covering”. For example, you can use felt for the bedroom carpet, and stick a piece of thin linoleum on the “kitchen” floor. Wallpaper for the first and second floors - fabric, scrapbooking paper or napkins with a suitable pattern. We cover the walls with suitable material and then attach the internal window casings.

We cut out and install interior partitions. When creating a bathroom, pay attention to the walls - it is better to “tile” them from squares of colored paper. For the bath itself, you can use a jar of yogurt. We simply sculpt the toilet from plastic or cold porcelain and fix it with glue; we cut out the lid and seat from cardboard.

We make the roof from single-sided corrugated cardboard, which can be found at a stationery store. We measure out a sheet of the required size with allowances of 5 cm and glue it onto a sheet of flat cardboard using PVA. We sew curtains (a cornice is a wooden skewer or a toothpick, which we glue directly into the walls, puncturing holes). We arrange the furniture and the magic dollhouse made of cardboard and paper is ready! You can move residents into it!

Master class “House of Santa Claus”

Purpose: interior decoration for the new year

Target: development of creative abilities of teachers and parents.

Happy New Year Santa Claus All children, and even some adults, are looking forward to it. How many questions arise in children’s heads: “Where does Santa Claus live?”, “How to write a letter to Santa Claus and where to send it?”, “What is Santa Claus’s House like?” etc. Not all adults can answer such difficult children's questions. But really, what kind of house does Santa Claus have? An adult can transfer many fantasies onto a regular sheet of paper. You can draw on it, make appliqués, cut, bend, glue, and cut out amazing patterns. I offer my version of Santa Claus's house. You can make the same house or try to design your own.

To make a house we will need:

1. Two sheets of thick paper, A4 size.

2. Thick cardboard.

3. Stationery knife.

4. Scissors.

5. Ruler.

6. Pencil.

7. Glue stick.

8. Your imagination and good mood.

1. We use the first sheet of paper to make the walls of our house, and the second for the roof.

Divide the first sheet into 9 equal rectangles (10x7 cm)

The central rectangle will serve as the floor, the middle rectangles will be the walls of the house, and the outer rectangles will be used to apply fastening details (small rectangles 7x1 cm). On one of the side walls we will mark a door measuring 4x5 cm, departing 1.5 cm from the edge of the wall. Draw the fold lines in dotted lines on the drawing.

2. Now we begin to fantasize. We apply “frosty patterns” to the windows, doors and walls of the house. You can use the template I suggested.

3. Let's practice working with a stationery knife. Place a thick sheet of cardboard under the sheet with the drawing and begin cutting through the applied parts. The smaller the pattern, the more openwork it will look on the house.

4. The next step is to cut the drawing along solid lines, after which the structure will need to be bent along dotted lines.

5. Apply glue to additional rectangles (except those on which we will later install the roof) and glue the structure together.

6. Now it’s time to make the roof. On the second sheet of paper, draw the following drawing:

The central rectangle measuring 8x10 cm will serve as our ceiling. A 1x10 cm rectangle is a piece for gluing the roof top. Four side trapezoids located on the triangles will also be used to glue the structure together.

7. We continue to fantasize and apply new patterns to our roof. Do not apply the design close to the edges of the rectangles and triangles, otherwise they will be covered with side pieces.

Despite the fact that most computer programs that perform 3D modeling allow you to fairly realistically imagine the appearance of your future home, paper house layouts are still relevant. After all, not everyone knows these programs. And ordering such a computer model from an experienced engineer or designer is expensive. In this case, mastering simple techniques for modeling houses made of paper and cardboard is much faster.

And if you have children from 2 to 10 years old, then this work can turn into a fascinating activity for them. Moreover, the training and developmental effect of this type of activity is difficult to overestimate. This includes accuracy, motor skills, skills in working with tools and, of course, the development of spatial thinking.

Simple layouts of paper houses and patterns for gluing

Making a house model with your own hands is not difficult. The simplest layouts of paper houses are easiest to make from the so-called. developments, when all their elements are connected to each other by fold lines and represent a solid element in the form of a diagram.

Also, the development, in addition to the walls, floor and roof, has additional bends for gluing. You can find links to such scans on the Internet. It is enough to print them on a printer or, by measuring the aspect ratio, draw them on sheets of paper or cardboard and obtain a scan diagram for modeling.

You can transfer the resulting scan to colored paper.

Using a needle or awl, you can transfer key points of various elements onto it: windows, doors, places for attaching additional architectural elements, etc. You need to cut them out immediately using a stationery knife, placing a piece of thick cardboard or plywood under the sheet with the scan.

Separately, overlay elements are made: window frames, shutters, doors, etc., which you glue onto the finished layout last.

The easiest way to make an even bend along the lines is to apply a ruler with a sharp edge to it. By repeating this procedure at all bend points, you will get a development ready for gluing.

You can also make a development by making each structural element separately and connecting them together at the bend points from the inside with tape. This method is especially interesting when you are making a house model from thick, hard cardboard.

You can glue the layout using quick-setting adhesives such as PVA, stationery silicate, glue stick, etc. You can also make it using double-sided tape, sold in hardware stores.

Making a layout for a house model with your own hands

The process of making reamers yourself is no less exciting than working with ready-made samples. To do this, you will need almost any program for working with graphic images installed on your computer. CorelDraw or something similar that processes vector images is best. In it, with an increase or decrease in the image size, both the thickness of the lines and the loaded textures change in the same ratio. This allows you to obtain more realistic images. And the library of textures built into its shell is impressive. At the same time, by filling the sweep element with texture, you can get the finished appearance of the main layout elements.

The entire process, including filling parts of the scan with the selected texture, applying visual effects and architectural elements, and inserting images from the symbol library, takes from 10 minutes to half an hour if the house is not very complex. Print the scan on a color printer and start prototyping.

For testing, you can also use this one we made by copying the image to your computer and enlarging it to the required size.

Making complex designs from paper

The process of manufacturing complex multi-component house models is not much different from that described above. It’s just that similar sweeps are performed for individual elements of composite layouts. A group photo of the assembly of such a layout shows its individual elements and assembly order.

Having mastered the simple technique of making simple houses out of paper, you can create entire paper towns with landscape design elements, plants, car models and small architectural forms.

The easiest way to make building models from round paper is to apply the formula for determining the circumference (2πr) to their calculation, adding a gluing strip to it.

You can also add realism to your layout by simply lighting the house from the inside.

To do this, you can mark the connection points for the LEDs and the battery on the scanner, and then install them during the process of gluing the layout.

Such a house can also serve as a night lamp, but in this case it is better to use a switching power supply connected to the mains.

A cell phone charger will do. You can also use inexpensive Christmas tree garland:

Simple house layouts without development

These are, first of all, houses assembled with your own hands from paper cylinders. The same layouts are great for various small architectural forms on prefabricated layouts with landscapes.

But also, using a similar technique, you can create a realistic model that imitates a log house so dear to the heart of any Russian.

To do this, you need to take longer pieces of paper to make the tubes, so that after folding, its turns resemble the annual rings of a tree cut.

And the junctions of the crowns can be modeled by pressing the ends of the tubes with a solid round object of suitable diameter.

It is easy to assemble a paper frame from such elements. And display the intermediate crowns along the facades, and for a sample you can take a photograph of any real log house.

It is better to make roof coverings for model houses separately, in the form of paper slate sheets, tile flakes or honeycombs of bitumen shingles.

Dear readers, if you have any questions, please ask them using the form below. We will be glad to communicate with you;)

Doll paper house: origami

A dollhouse will be useful in any children’s game, and the origami technique will help bring to life all the child’s dreams and ideas of what a house should be like.

For such a house you will need 2 hours of free time. You should also stock up on the following materials and tools:

  • thick paper, which should be in the shape of a square with sides approximately 50 by 50 cm;
  • a simple pencil and eraser;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • double-sided colored paper to make trees and flowers;
  • felt-tip pens, pencils and paints.

Advice! If you took paper 50 cm wide and 50 cm long, then the product itself will be 25.5 cm deep and the same in width and length. These are not the only sizes that are suitable for creating a house. You can use a square of both larger and smaller sizes. For children, of course, it is better to take smaller paper so that they can easily fold the craft.

Now let's start working on the house.

1. Take a paper square (if you have one-sided colored paper, then the colored side should be on the bottom - invisible) and fold the upper corners with the lower ones to form a rectangle (now the colored side is visible);

2. Place the left side of the workpiece on the right, achieving a square sheet shape. Open again to the left so that there is a vertical fold in the middle;

3. First, fold the left edge to a vertical line in the center, and then do the same with the right. Smooth with hand;

4. Unscrew the top sheet of the left side with your fingers, as if climbing inside. Bend the top corner towards you to form a small triangle at the top;

5. Open the top of the right side and do the same steps as in the previous paragraph;

6. Try placing the workpiece on a flat surface. Please note that its middle should be straight, and the walls on the side should form a parallel with each other, but at the same time adjoin the middle perpendicularly;

7. Proceed to decorating the house. It should be colorful, beautiful and eye-catching.

Start with the roof. To make it look like tiles, take scrapbooking paper (preferably pieces of different colors and patterns) and cut out circles of the same size from it. Using a simple pencil, draw along the roof and mark the lowest point where the tiles will lie. There, draw a line parallel to the surface and glue the circles, focusing on it. The tiles on the first line should not touch each other. Glue the next row on top of the first, as if between the elements. Then the next one according to this principle and so on.

The tiles do not have to be cut out of paper and glued. You can simply draw the outline of the tiles with a simple pencil. And then color it with different colors of felt-tip pens or colored pencils;

8. The interior of the house (paintings, furniture, etc.) can also be painted. And on the external walls, use felt-tip pens or pencils to draw windows with curtains and flowers in pots, doors;

9. Make the trees as follows: take green paper, draw the outline of the trees, and then cut them out. To make stands for them, you need to cut out small semicircles.

Make cuts at the bottom of the trunks and on the stands so that you can insert one element into the second crosswise. Do this and place the craft on the table next to the house.

Advice! If you want to liven up the house and its interior, then you can do the following: place small real flowers in pots on the floor of the house inside, a small rug, which you can also make yourself, just like a picture or panel on the wall. Find beads, small parts from bracelets, watches and other things that can be used.

So, let's get straight to the creative process and create our first retro paper house.

Step 1: Print the Template

Download the templates below.

Paper house - templates

Step 2: Cut out the pieces

Print your templates onto different colored cardstock. Using a utility knife on a cutting mat, carefully cut out the pieces.

Step 3: Assemble the house

Fold the pieces in half along the dotted lines with the pattern facing inward.

If any printed lines remain on the paper, fold them so that they are inside the house.

Apply a little glue to one of the sides of the workpiece and glue it into a rectangle. The walls are ready!

Apply some glue to the bottom of the walls. Place the walls on the base. Hold the walls on the base with your hand until the glue dries.

Take a small decorative Christmas tree and glue some metal beads onto it. If necessary, trim the base of the tree to fit inside the house. Glue your Christmas tree onto the paper backing inside the house, opposite the front window.

Add glue to the top of the walls and place the roof on them.

Glue metal beads evenly onto the bottom of the roof. Leave the craft for a while to let the glue dry.

Step 4: Add Decorations

Make some palm trees in your yard!

Cut out several blanks from green paper in the shape of a leaf with a tail. Add jagged edges to the sheets and fold them in the middle.

Cut out a triangle from kraft paper. Apply some glue to the floral wire. Place the green leaves at the top of the wire in a circle, the larger ones on the bottom and the smaller ones on top.

Fix the craft and wrap it with craft paper in a circle. Secure the end of the paper with glue.

If desired, wrap the palm tree with additional metal blue wire and place it on the base of the house.

If you want to turn a paper house into an educational toy for your baby, add more decorations to your yard: tiny cacti, thorny bushes.

Cut out some steps from kraft paper and glue them to the front yard. Tie small bows using gold thread and place them on the front of the house.

These little paper houses, along with trees and other decorative elements, will create an amazing New Year's decoration for you! You can also tie ribbons to the roofs and turn them into hanging decorations! In general, how to use a paper house made by yourself depends only on your imagination!

We hope you enjoyed this tutorial and our paper house.
