Metal will be a little more difficult to work with. If you have the tools, most connections can be made welded. Only at the intersection of the legs must there be bolts. We connect the pipes with fasteners with two others of the same length, thereby obtaining a rectangular metal frame.

The next step is to connect two 70 cm pipes with another 30 cm pipe so that the long pipes remain parallel to each other. That is, at the end of each pipe it is necessary to fix one fastener so that the short pipe can be inserted into the fastening perpendicular to the long one. Thus we get a U-shaped structure.

Then, into the fastenings that were fixed on the pipe for the backrest, we insert the part, the manufacture of which is described above, and tighten the fastenings.

Next, we install one more fastener on the four free ends of the pipes, and then insert one leg into each of them, which will be freely adjustable thanks to fastenings with a tightening principle. We install rubber nozzles at the end of each leg.

The final stage is stretching the fabric. We take the first piece to cover the seat.

The best option is to make several holes on each of the short sides so that when stretching, tie the ends of the fabric with an elastic band, which will allow the fabric to bend under the weight of the fisherman. We do the same with a piece of fabric for the back, only here the holes need to be made on the long sides.

We fasten it in the same way.

We got a very comfortable, light and reliable do-it-yourself fishing chair with dimensions in centimeters of 55x55x120. A big plus is the ability to disassemble the structure if necessary. The approximate weight of such a feeder chair is not much different from the weight of a “branded” chair - about 8-9 kilograms.

With a little effort, we get an excellent fishing chair, which is much cheaper than those that can be found in the store, and most importantly, made with our own hands.

General rules

All the structures we have presented are somewhat similar to each other, so up to a certain stage the algorithms for their assembly will be the same. So, the first thing to do is to carry out calculations and draw a drawing (professional engineers call this stage design).

Start with a sketch - draw on a piece of paper what your chair should look like. For now, don’t pay attention to the dimensions, structure, design, and so on. Focus only on its external form.

Then select the parts from which it will be made.

List them in a column on a piece of paper, like this:

This option is the most difficult. Because there are more connections and mechanisms here than in the previous ones.

It turns into a bed by moving the shutter along special depressions on the rear legs. To make such a chair, move the centers of the holes in the scissors closer to the edge, after cutting out depressions (grooves) on them.

Next, fabricate the bolt carrier (that's what fits into the slots) and bolt it to the back. That's it, all that remains is to work on the seat.

The shorter legs are connected to the transverse ligaments by fastening with dowels. Here the support bars are attached to any wooden board at a similar distance. When connecting slats to bars with self-tapping screws, it is natural to insert spacer checkers. A metal rod must be inserted between the 5 and 6 slats of the seat. The hinges of parts in this design are bolts. Having assembled the entire product, you need to sand the corners; if desired, there is the option of slightly rounding them. A folding chair at home, the drawings have been prepared, and a fairly ordinary model that is not very popular in everyday life is assembled from them.

Nettle, taking one side of the seat, you need to accurately get into the grooves, first with one side, then with the other. Such fasteners are very tight, and to get the best fit into the groove, it is natural to lightly tap the part with a hammer, but only very carefully, so as not to completely disturb the entire structure. When the structure is already on its legs and the seat is fully seated in the grooves, you need to carefully insert the back of the chair. With these easy operations, the plywood folding chair will be ready. If the plywood has a very fine texture, without flaws, it can be lightly sanded with sandpaper and not covered with stain.
