Sony xperia zr c5502 firmware w3bsit3-dns.com. Getting Root Sony Xperia ZR LTE (C5503). Instructions for obtaining Root Sony Xperia ZR LTE

Xperia is a family of smartphones and tablets from Sony Mobile . The name Xperia is derived from the word "experience", and was first used in the Xperia X1 tagline, "I (Sony Ericsson) Xperia the best".

History

The Xperia X1 was the first phone to be released in the Xperia range. Released 2008, it featured a high resolution display (~311 ppi pixel density) and it was intended to fill the widening gap of smartphones as other competitors were producing high-end smartphone devices such as HTC and Apple . The X2 was released in the following year, which included an 8.1MP camera and included Wifi and GPS. By this time there was a clear shift towards the smartphone end of the spectrum. An exception was the Xperia Pureness, a translucent phone without camera that was sold by selected retailers in selected cities. The Xperia X5 Pureness is based on Sony Ericsson's proprietary operating system (OSE).

The X10 was released at the start of 2010. It was the first in the Xperia line to feature the Android operating system, where previous models ran on the Windows Mobile OS. The phone was praised on its design, but its downfall was the outdated version of Android which was 1.6 at a time when competitors were on 2.1. There was a great delay in the update of the firmware, due to the heavily skinned OS, as well as Timescape and Mediascape which needed to be reprogrammed every time an update was made. The phone also lacked pinch to zoom, but this was added later as well as HD video recording. The

Owners of android tablets or smartphones who want to improve the functionality of their devices can use root rights, and without the risk of losing valuable personal data and installed games and programs. Possibly devices. This allows you to "unload" a tablet or smartphone by taking up the memory of a flash drive.

Types of Root Rights

There are three modifications of root rights. It's full, shell root, and temporary. Almost all the time, full root is used. Some Android smartphones and tablets may have specially designed software protection that does not allow you to add different edits to OS files.

Done with the USB drivers? perfect. The tutorial is on the next page, but first, please take a look at the following tips and important points you need to take care of. These are important, as we don't want anyone losing their personal data or apps:

Always backup your important data that you might need after you install a new custom ROM, an official software update or anything else. Make a backup for just in case, you never know when anything might go wrong. See below for some tips on how to backup data:

  • Backup your Apps. how? –> .
  • Backup your SMS messages. how? –> .
  • Backup Contacts, Gmail and Google Data. how? –> Sync with Google Sync.
  • Backup call history. how? –> .
  • Backup WhatsApp Messages. how? –> .
  • Backup APN Settings: GPRS, 3G, MMS Settings. how? Note down everything from: Settings > Wireless & Networks (More…) > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.

Sony users can also back up data using Sony PC Companion. If you backup data manually, you get more options what to choose from and it is very easy to move data across Android devices from different manufacturers, i.e moving Sony Xperia ZR backup data to HTC One X.

If you already have a custom recovery (ClockworkMod, TWRP etc.) installed on your phone, we strongly recommend a backup using that as it creates a complete image of your existing phone set up.

A few more optional tips that you should remember:

1. Having problems connecting your Android phone to the computer? You need to enable USB debugging mode. See here: - for Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean.

2. Make sure your Android device is charged up to 80-85% battery level. This might help you: . Why? Because, if your phone goes off suddenly while installing a custom ROM, flashing an official firmware update or installing mods etc. - your phone might get bricked or go dead permanently. No one wants that, right?

4. Most of the tutorials and how-to guides on Team Android are for factory unlocked Android phones and tablets. We recommend NOT to try our guides if your phone is locked to a carrier, unless we have specified the carrier name or device model.

If you find the above tips useful and they were helpful to you, please consider giving us a +1 or LIKE thank us!

All set and ready? good. Now, let’s proceed with the tutorial on the next page and update Xperia ZR C5502 / C5503 to Android 4.4.2 CM11 KitKat custom firmware.

The wait is over and the great day has come. Sony started rolling out the long-awaited Android Lollipop update for the very first Xperia ZR siblings last night. The update has made its way for Xperia ZR, ZR, ZL & Tablet Z. Android 5.0.2 Lollipop rolled out through OTA update at first, but the firmware is now available through Sony PC Companion and through unofficial firmware download tools as well. If you’ve been waiting for the latest and greatest iteration of Android to hit your beloved Xperia ZR, this may be the chance for you to update your device. New firmware for Xperia ZR carries the build number 10.6.A.0.454 and its Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on the core. The update will take quite a while to hit all regions all around the world, but if you can't wait, you may flash the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 10.6.A.0.454 FTF file using Sony Flash tool in order to update your Xperia ZR C5502/C5503.

Before we head towards the guide to update xperia zr, let's have a look at what's new in the latest update. Android 5.0.2 brings the biggest changes in the history of Android to the devices it hit. The very first change is in the display department. Google introduced a new UI named as Material Design. All manufacturers who are rolling out Android Lollipop for their devices have revamped the UI according to Google’s Material Design. There are new notification cards on the lock screen. Multi-user and guest modes are there. Some applications have been enhanced. Over-all performance and battery life of the device seems to be improved.

The firmware that we are going to flash is completely official and untouched. It will not void the warranty of your device nor it will result in causing any damage. You can flash it using the guidelines carefully and update your Xperia ZR to latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 10.6.A.0.454 firmware right away. Without any further discussion, let’s go ahead and install the firmware on your beloved Xperia ZR now.

Some early preparations:

1. This is only for Sony Xperia ZR C5502 & C5503

This ROM is only for the device mentioned above. Make sure that your model number matches the one listed above. To do so, go to Settings > About Device on your device and see your model number. Flashing this firmware on any other device will result in bricking it so make sure that you meet this requirement first of all.

2. Battery should be charged at least over 60%.

Make sure that your battery is charged enough to complete the flashing process. In case your battery is low and your device goes dead during the flashing process, you may end up soft bricking your device as it won’t complete the flashing process.

3. Backup everything!

Just to be on the safe side, you may consider backing up each and everything from your Android device. This is highly recommended so that in case anything goes wrong, you still have the access to all of your data and you can restore it immediately. You may backup everything as listed below.

4. Enable USB Debugging Mode on your device.

Enable USB debugging mode on your device. To do so, tap settings>developer options>USB debugging. If you can’t find developer options in settings, then tap settings > about device and tap “Build Number” for 7 times and you’ll get em’ activated under settings.

5. Install and setup Sony Flashtool.

After installing Sony Flashtool, open the Flashtool folder from the drive where you installed it. Now open Flashtool>Drivers>Flashtool-drivers.exe and install the Flashtool, Fastboot & Xperia ZR drivers from the list.

6. Use OEM data cable to establish connection.

Make sure that you use the phone's original data cable to establish a connection between your phone and the PC. Using a different data cable might result in interrupting the firmware installation.
