Only random battles.

Previously, the rating used statistics from battles with different gameplay. Because of this, it was impossible to understand whether a particular player was playing well or whether he was just playing a lot in different modes. To obtain relevant statistics, only random battles are taken into account in the new ranking.

In the new system, the rating is formed for each tank separately, and after that the player’s overall rating is formed for the tanks. Moreover, for each tank the influence of different efficiency parameters varies, depending on their importance for a particular vehicle.

Efficiency parameters:

Damage done. Victory in most battles is achieved by destroying all enemy equipment - hence the importance of this parameter.
. Damage caused with your help (by intelligence, stun and for destroying a caterpillar). Detecting, immobilizing and stunning enemy vehicles makes a significant contribution to the team's victory.
. Damage blocked by armor. The ability to block enemy shells using the tank's armor and divert fire onto yourself are key features of many vehicles.
. Number of enemy vehicles destroyed. Each of us found ourselves in a situation where destroying an enemy tank was more important than causing damage.
. Survival. The longer you stay in battle, the more damage you deal and the more enemy vehicles you discover. In this case, if you managed to survive, you most likely win.

Receptivity to changes in the game.

The rating responds flexibly to rebalancing and changes in combat strategy in the use of tanks, as it compares your performance with the average values on the server. For example, if the average damage dealt increases for any vehicle on the entire server, this will not affect your rating in any way. Likewise, if damage blocked by armor becomes a more important parameter after an upgrade, its impact on that vehicle's rating increases. This way, the player score you see always corresponds to the current state of the game.

Hall of Fame:

The Hall of Fame has also been improved, and is now available both on our portal and in the game client. It is built on a new rating system and offers two types of rating tables. “Overall Rating” will allow you to compare your successes with those of your friends and clanmates, and “Vehicle Rating” will allow you to check the effectiveness of one of your tanks.

We have significantly redesigned the interface to simplify interaction with the system.

New rating
Only random battles

Previously, the rating used statistics from battles with different gameplay. Because of this, it was impossible to understand whether a particular player was playing well or whether he was just playing a lot in different modes. To obtain relevant statistics, only random battles are taken into account in the new ranking.

Rating for a specific tank

In the new system, the rating is formed for each tank separately, and after that the player’s overall rating is formed for the tanks. Moreover, for each tank the influence of different efficiency parameters varies, depending on their significance for a particular vehicle.

Performance parameters
  • Damage done. Victory in most battles is achieved by destroying all enemy equipment - hence the importance of this parameter.
  • Damage caused with your help (by intelligence, stun and for destroying a caterpillar). Detecting, immobilizing and stunning enemy vehicles makes a significant contribution to the team's victory.
  • Damage blocked by armor. The ability to block enemy shells using the tank's armor and divert fire onto yourself are key features of many vehicles.
  • Number of enemy vehicles destroyed. Each of us found ourselves in a situation where destroying an enemy tank was more important than causing damage.
  • Survival. The longer you stay in battle, the more damage you deal and the more enemy vehicles you discover. In this case, if you managed to survive, you most likely win.
Examples

The "Damage Blocked by Armor" parameter says little about the Bat.-Châtillon 25t and other lightly armored vehicles, but gives a lot of information about a well-protected Maus or IS-7. Therefore, it will be of greater importance for the combat effectiveness of the Maus, but less for the Bat.-Châtillon 25 t. The Bat.-Chât's job is to deal damage, so the more damage this tank deals to opponents, the higher its combat effectiveness.

By analogy, the number of enemy tanks destroyed determines the effectiveness of vehicles with a high rate of fire and low one-time damage (for example, the T-62A). However, for the Jagdpanzer E 100 and other vehicles with a crushing “alpha” it is less important than the damage caused.

The same logic applies to other parameters: their importance varies from vehicle to vehicle, while the level of their influence for each tank depends on the average value on the server.

Responsiveness to changes in the game

The rating responds flexibly to rebalancing and changes in combat strategy in the use of tanks, as it compares your performance with the average values on the server. For example, if the average damage dealt increases for any vehicle on the entire server, this will not affect your rating in any way. Likewise, if damage blocked by armor becomes a more important parameter after an upgrade, its impact on that vehicle's rating increases. This way, the player score you see always corresponds to the current state of the game.

All the mathematics that underlies the new system is in extended material with a detailed description of the parameters and calculations.

Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame has also been improved, and is now available both on our portal and in the game client. It is built on a new rating system and offers two types of rating tables. “Overall Rating” will allow you to compare your successes with those of your friends and clanmates, and “Vehicle Rating” will allow you to check the effectiveness of one of your tanks.

We have significantly redesigned the interface to simplify interaction with the system:

  • Search will help you make comparisons with a specific tanker, your friends, or with all the clan fighters.
  • Filter "Tanks", which works exactly like Tankopedia, will help you find the rating of any tank.

  • Time filter will allow you to select a period of time that interests you and monitor your results or the results of your friends over time.
  • Now you can view detailed combat statistics, by clicking on the player's rating. When you click on a nickname, its profile will open.

Finally, after a long period of internal testing, by the way, you could see some of the functionality as bugs or in a general test, and the announcement itself took place in Moscow, we will see a new rating.
The new hall of fame will be launched in beta mode in order to fix bugs, if any. In the future, a complete replacement is planned Personal Rating this innovation. Only random battles will be taken into account in the calculation, and each tank will have its own separate rating. The overall rating will be calculated based on all tanks. To calculate the rating are used 5 main parameters: percentage of survival in battle, damage, blocked damage, intelligence (assists), frags.

For example, using two completely different tanks, the Bat.-Chatillon 25 t and the Maus: the French tank doesn't have much armor, so the damage blocked is not included in the calculation for this tank. At the same time, blocked damage is almost a third of Maus' overall score (30%).

This system is quite flexible, so it will be easy to adjust in any update. Therefore, if the tank is rebalanced, this will be taken into account when calculating the new rating.

New Hall of Fame Now it will be more convenient and easy to use. Also, now you will see 2 ratings: Overall and for each individual tank (only random battles are taken into account).
Players will be able to sort statistics by month. The new filter makes it easier to search for players or even clans, so you can now compare yourself to anyone, anytime.

The new system will be introduced approximately in and will be an attempt to improve the system Personal Rating, which did not provide any explanation to players.
