Various modifications have individual features of the device.

The manufacture of boilers using low-temperature cast iron contributes to the effective minimization of heat losses. A feature of the design of heating appliances of the brand "Proterm" is also an unusual, fairly environmentally friendly way of burning fuel.

The main components of gas heating equipment are presented:

  • ignition system;
  • burner;
  • heat exchanger.

The heat source is represented by a burner flame in which gas is burned, and a heat exchanger is responsible for heating the heat carrier. The gas supply process is regulated by a thermostat, while the combustion products, represented mainly by water vapor and carbon dioxide, are removed through the chimney system.

Proterm boilers are used for heating and hot water supply

How to connect and set up

The main conditions for the installation of heating gas equipment from the manufacturer "Proterm":

  • installation of the boiler and the necessary auxiliary equipment is carried out in accordance with the design documentation, taking into account the requirements of SNiP and the manufacturer's recommendations;
  • installation of equipment is carried out in a room specially designed for this purpose, and with a special modification of the unit - only in well-ventilated outbuildings;
  • the process of installation and commissioning is carried out by specialists who have completed a course in the installation and maintenance of gas equipment;
  • elimination of any malfunctions of the boiler is carried out by a service organization authorized by the manufacturer of heating and hot water equipment;
  • independent installation work entails the deprivation of the consumer of the guarantee for the unit and its repair;
  • when unpacking the heating equipment, the completeness of the delivered boiler and the compliance with the type of fuel used must be checked.

Before proceeding with the installation, you must carefully read the attached instructions, and during the installation process, all recommendations given in the accompanying documents must be observed. Markings on equipment must not be damaged or removed.

Standard technology for connecting and setting up a gas boiler:

  • fixing the unit to the wall is carried out by means of screws with appropriate gaskets;
  • branch pipes for connection should not be loaded with a pipe heating system, hot water supply system or gas supply elements;
  • the installation dimension of the connection of pipes, including their height and the required distance from inlet to outlet, must be strictly observed;
  • the placement of the hydraulic group is carried out on the lower part of the gas equipment, and the system is necessarily equipped with a filling valve and safety and relief valves;
  • in conditions of exceeding the maximum pressure inside the system, steam or water is discharged from the safety and relief valves;
  • connecting the unit to the heating system implies the ability to perform a full range of preventive maintenance and repair work;
  • water is delivered to the heating system by means of a filling valve, and a drain device is used to lower the pressure indicators or partially drain the heat carrier;
  • full-fledged drain and fill functions have special outlets installed in dedicated areas of the heating system;
  • the pressure of hot water supply to the equipment must exceed the same indicators in the heating system;
  • in the “Filling” valve position (hydraulic group), the system operation must be monitored by means of a boiler pressure gauge;
  • opening of fittings is made counterclockwise, and closing - strictly clockwise.

Brief instruction manual

Competent adjustment of Protherm gas boilers provides optimal temperature conditions in rooms of different purposes and areas. Among other things, the regulation of the automation of such equipment helps to increase the efficiency of the unit, and also makes its operation reliable and safe. Modern automation solves problems:

  • opening and closing valves in the gas supply system;
  • the process of starting the unit in automatic mode;
  • installed or emergency shutdown of boiler equipment;
  • adjustment of the flame level in the burner by means of a temperature sensor;
  • display on the screen of indicators of air temperature, the level of heating of the coolant and other parameters.

Instructions for setting up a gas boiler:

  • connecting the thermostat to a temperature sensor fixed in the room and setting the required values allows you to get a comfortable temperature regime for heating;
  • installation of a thermostatic valve on the supply pipes in front of heating radiators helps to change the cross-sectional area of \u200b\u200bthe pipe section and easily carry out the process of regulating the temperature of the heat carrier;
  • the first start of the system at the limiting temperature allows the used coolant to freely enter the tank, which contributes to its maximum filling;
  • the increase in efficiency is facilitated by the timely removal of scale and soot, as well as the control of the absence of air in the system and the installation of a draft limiter;
  • regulation of pressure indicators is carried out using special valve regulators, and in order to increase the pressure, a circulation pump is installed;
  • the decrease in the power of the boiler burner is carried out automatically through the service menu, and the power is adjusted to increase by installing additional radiators or replacing existing ones with the most powerful models;
  • many units are characterized by full performance at a pressure of 1.5 atm., And normally this value is 0.3 atm. lower than the indicators in the heating system;
  • a slight decrease in the pressure level in the unit is restored during a standard restart;
  • automatic selection of the operating mode of the gas boiler helps maintain the desired temperature level even with a long absence of consumers in the room.

The process of first turning on the boiler is accompanied by its short and energetic operation after the unit is fully connected to the heating system, which makes it easy to check the correct installation of the boiler equipment and the full functioning of the heating.

Installation, connection and start-up of the boiler Proterm Panther

Mounted gas boiler Proterm Panther 25 KTV with forced removal of combustion products and model 25 KOV with natural exhaust, running on natural gas or propane, are designed for heating and hot water supply of country houses, cottages, small garden buildings, utility buildings and other facilities that are equipped with heating system with forced circulation of the coolant and water supply.

Fig.1. Hinged gas boiler 25 KTV PANTHER

1 - closed (sealed) combustion chamber (turbochamber); 2 - atmospheric type burner; 3 - heat exchanger; 4 - circulation pump; 5 - air vent; 6 - heat exchanger of the DHW system; 7 - three-way valve drive; 8 - gas valve; 9 - ignition electrodes; 10 - control electrode; 11 - ignition unit; 12 - control panel; 13 - heating temperature sensor; 14 - emergency temperature sensor; 15 - thrust sensor; 16 - fan; 17 - water pressure sensor

The boiler is designed for operation in the temperature range from +5 to 40 °C and relative humidity up to 85%.

The temperature of the outer surfaces of the boiler unit (side and top covers) during boiler operation must not exceed the ambient air temperature by no more than 50°C.

When placing the boiler, it is not allowed to place objects near it:

From flame-retardant materials - at a distance of less than 100 mm from the surface;

From flammable materials, such as fibreboard, polyurethane, lightweight PVC, synthetic fibres, rubber, etc. - at a distance of less than 200 mm from the surface.

A free space of at least 1m must be left in front of the boiler for maintenance work.

At the Protherm Panther 25 KTV boiler, the removal of combustion products and the supply of combustion air is carried out by a special coaxial pipeline or separate pipelines.

From standard parts, you can make a coaxial chimney for almost all laying options. The length of the chimney, the type and number of sections must be agreed with the service organization.

The chimney must be laid in such a way that the condensate from the combustion products can be removed. For this, special sections are designed that are built into the chimney route.

The gas boiler Proterm Panther 25 KOV is designed to discharge combustion products into a natural draft chimney. The boiler is connected to the chimney using a pipe with a diameter corresponding to the size of the chimney pipe.

It is not allowed to install objects in the pipe that restrict the passage of combustion products (for example, various types of heat recovery heat exchangers, etc.).

Installation of a gas boiler Proterm Panther

The Protherm Panther 25 KTV (KOV) boiler should be installed in closed heating systems with water as the heat carrier. The nominal pipe diameter of the system is selected based on the characteristics of the pump. The pipeline is designed according to the required capacity of this system, and not the maximum
boiler heat output.

In this case, the flow rate of the coolant must be such that the temperature difference between the supply and return is no more than 20 ° C. The minimum flow rate of water in the system is 500 l/h. The piping system must be designed in such a way as to ensure the removal of air from it.

Air vents are located at the highest point in the system and on all radiators. The heating system is filled to a pressure of at least 1 bar. The recommended pressure range in the system is 1.2 - 2 bar.

The expansion tank of the boiler is designed for a heating system capacity of 95 liters. In larger systems, another membrane-type expansion tank should be installed. Heating radiators can be equipped with thermostatic valves.

If the unit is controlled by a room regulator, thermostatic valves are not installed in the room where the room regulator is located. Before installation, the system must be thoroughly cleaned.

DHW system

The water pressure in the DHW system must be in the range of 1 - 6 bar. If the pressure exceeds 6 bar, a pressure reducing valve must be installed on the inlet. If the hardness of the tap water is high, it is recommended that appropriate measures be taken to reduce it.

Connection pipes have external threads. They must not be loaded with the weight of the pipes of the heating system, the DHW system or the gas supply. The installation dimensions of the connecting pipes (height, distance from the wall and between individual inlets and outlets) must be exactly observed.

In the lower part of the boiler there is a hydraulic group, which is equipped with a safety relief valve, a valve for filling (filling) the system and a drain valve. If the maximum pressure in the system (2.5 kgf/cm2) is exceeded, water may flow out of the safety relief valve or steam may be released.

It is recommended to connect the boiler to the heating system in such a way that during its repair it is possible to drain water only from the unit. Make-up of the heating system (in small quantities) can be carried out using the make-up tap.

The drain valve is designed to reduce the water pressure in the boiler during possible repairs. It is possible to drain water from the boiler with this tap only partially. Complete draining of water or the entire heating system, as well as re-filling, must be carried out using valves (plugs) for filling and draining installed in
certain places in the heating system.

Filling the Protherm Panther boiler and system with water should be done in the following order:

Check that the pressure in the DHW system is higher than the water pressure in the heating system.

Carefully open the filling cock in the hydraulic group and at the same time monitor the pressure increase on the boiler pressure gauge. The faucet is opened by turning counterclockwise, clockwise - closes.

When the required pressure is reached, the filling valve must be carefully closed and the water pressure must be checked to see if the water pressure is rising (the valve must be completely closed).

If the DHW pressure in the water supply is the same or lower than the pressure in the heating system, water may leak into the water supply, which is unacceptable. This can be prevented by installing a non-return valve on the water supply pipe to the boiler.

During repairs, unfavorable building layouts, etc., it is possible to connect the boiler to the heating system, DHW system and gas supply with special flexible hoses.

When using flexible hoses, they must have a length of no more than 0.5 m, protected from mechanical stress and damage, exposure to aggressive substances. At the end of the service life of the hoses, they must be replaced with new ones. To connect the boiler to copper pipes, you can use a special connection kit of shaped copper pipes with fittings.

Tube dimensions:

OV inlet and outlet - tube diameter 22 mm.
- DHW inlet and outlet - tube diameter 15 mm.
- Gas connection - tube diameter 22 mm.
- Safety valve connection - tube diameter 22 mm.

Gas connection

Size 25 KTV (KOV) - ZP is designed to operate on natural gas with a nominal pressure in the distribution network of 1.8 kPa and a calorific value of 35900 kJ/m3. The pipe diameter, fittings and gas meter must be selected taking into account other gas appliances of the consumer. A pipe with a minimum connecting diameter of 1/2“ must be connected to the boiler, but preferably with a nominal diameter of 3/4“.

Size 25 KTV (KOV) - P is designed to operate on liquefied gas (propane), with a calorific value of 12.3 to 13.0 kWh/kg.

Due to the fact that the operation of the boiler with the use of cylinders is problematic, primarily from the point of view of ensuring a sufficient number of them, as well as their further use, the simultaneous use of a gas tank near the heated object and its filling by an authorized organization is envisaged.

Calculations of the required sizes of propane supply from the gas tank to the boiler unit or to other gas appliances are part of the design and delivery of the gas tank. With the help of a gas pressure reducing valve, it is necessary to ensure the nominal gas pressure in front of the boiler is 3.0 kPa.

Air supply and removal of combustion products

Air is supplied and exhaust products of combustion are carried out through an external coaxial pipeline? 100 mm. The equivalent length of the pipeline (numerically equal to the sum of the linear meters of the straight pipe and the number of 90° bends) should not exceed 9 m. If the equivalent length of the pipeline is more than 3 m, the throttle disc must be removed from the fan outlet.

Horizontal sections of the pipeline must be installed with a slope of at least 1.5% towards the flue gas outlet so that condensate flows out of the pipeline. Condensate drains are used in vertical sections.

The outlet of the pipeline must be located:

At a height of at least 2 m from the foundation of the building in places visited by people and at least 0.4 m - in places not visited by people;

At a distance of at least 0.5 m horizontally from windows, permanently open ventilation grills and doors;

Above the upper border of windows, bars or doors;

In the area under awnings, balconies and roof edges.

Minimum distance between two adjacent pipe outlets:

Horizontally - 1 m;
- vertically - 2 m.

The direction of the pipe outlet should be oriented so that the combustion products go out into the open space.

The horizontal distance from the end of the outlet of the pipeline on one facade to the other, with the opposite placement of outlets, should be:

2 m if there are no windows or bars on one facade;

1 m if both facades are without windows or bars;

4 m if both facades have windows or bars (or if there are adjacent exits on the same facade).

In the niche of the facade of the building, the distance between the axis of the pipeline outlet and the adjacent plane of the facade should be:

2 m if there are windows or bars on the facade;
- 0.5 m - if they are absent.

All distances are given from the outer border of the window (grille) or door to the axis of the pipeline. In the space under the canopy (balcony), the pipe head must be at a distance of at least the radius of the circle.

With a vertical exit of pipelines to the roof, their heads should be placed at a distance of at least 0.4 m horizontally and at a height of at least 0.4 m from the roof surface, taking into account its shape.

The chimney outlet must not be placed in an explosive area, in the internal parts of a building or structure, tunnels or underground passages, in enclosed spaces.

A hole in the wall for the passage of a coaxial pipeline is made with a certain gap (from 10 to 15 mm). Upon completion of the installation, the gap is insulated with non-combustible materials (mounting foam, gypsum, plaster).

Electrical connection of the gas boiler Proterm Panther

The Proterm Panther boiler must be connected to the mains through a socket with a grounding contact, which eliminates the zero-phase connection error. The distance from the boiler to the socket must be within the length of the boiler power cord (1m).

The boiler must be connected to a protective conductor (ground). The ground conductor must be accessible for inspection and resistance testing.

It is not allowed to use various tees, extensions, etc. for the electrical connection. The boiler is protected against overload and short circuit by fuses P1 -T80 mA/250V, P2 - T 1.6 A/250V installed in the control panel. Before working on the electrical equipment of the boiler, it is necessary to disconnect the boiler from the mains by disconnecting the electrical plug from the socket.

To control the boiler from a room regulator, use a regulator with a potential-free output (except for the mains voltage, it is not allowed to supply any other voltage to the boiler). Connect the room regulator to the unit with a flexible two-wire cable with a cross section of 0.5 to 1.5 mm2. Exit the cable from the boiler through a plastic cable gland.

The terminal block for connecting the room regulator and the external sensor is located at the bottom, inside the boiler and is accessible after removing the outer cover and turning the control panel. Before connecting, the jumper must be removed from the terminal block. The minimum load on the output contacts of the regulator is 24 V / 0.1A.

The outside temperature sensor should be connected with a two-wire copper conductor with a cross section of 0.75 mm2. Wiring resistance should be no more than 10 ohms, the maximum length is 30 m.

The circuits for connecting the outside temperature sensor and the room thermostat must not be laid together with the mains voltage circuits.

Commissioning of the Protherm Panther boiler:

Remove the screw securing the cover to the bottom of the boiler;

Tilt the cover down (towards you) and lift it off the pins at the top of the camera.

Make sure the gas supply is closed.

Loosen the cap on the automatic air separator located on the pump.

Connect the boiler to the electrical network.

Turn the power switch to position “I”. The display will show code F0, the pump will run for approximately 1 minute.

Make sure that the pressure shown on the display is in the range of 1.2 - 2 bar, top up if necessary.

Starting the boiler Proterm Panther

Before starting the boiler check:

The main gas supply valve is open,
- the gas valve at the inlet is open,
- closing valves (water, heating) at the outlet are open,
- the unit is connected to the mains.

To start the Protherm Panther boiler, do the following:

Switch the power switch to position “I”;

Set the extract air temperature to 85 °C and turn off the equithermal control (E-).

Check the condition of the room regulator (it must be closed);

Slowly raise the temperature in the heating system to the maximum (all radiators must be with open valves). The air in the water of the heating system is gradually removed through an automatic air separator. There must be no air at the highest point of the system and in the radiators;

Make up the system to a pressure of 1.2 bar;

Switch on the boiler again and heat the system up to the maximum temperature;

Turn off the boiler, if necessary, remove the air and re-feed the system with water;

Make sure that after the heating system has cooled down, the pressure gauge shows at least 1.2 bar;

If the pressure in the heating system in the heated state is higher by. 0.5 bar than when cold, check the setting of the expansion vessel in relation to the system.

Protective functions of the boiler Proterm Panther

The boiler is equipped with a frost protection function. When the temperature drops below 10 °C, the pump will automatically turn on. When the temperature drops below 8 °C, the machine will fire up and work until the temperature rises by 25 °C. In case of freezing (the temperature of the RH is below 3 °C), the start of the boiler is blocked.

The pump switches on automatically for a short time if it has not been switched on for 24 hours. This provides protection against blocking due to deposits during a long shutdown. The pump runs continuously when the temperature rises above 85°C (overheating protection).

When the pressure drops, the LED flashes, when the pressure drops further, the unit goes out (protection against water loss - alarm F0). When the pressure rises, work automatically resumes.

The protective functions are activated only when the boiler is connected to the mains voltage (the electric cord is in the socket and the mains switch is in the on (I) position.

If the boiler has been disconnected from the mains voltage for a long time (a month or more), it is recommended to start it periodically (at least once a month). The boiler is equipped with a safety valve. When discharging heating water from the valve, turn off the boiler and disconnect it from the mains voltage.

Boiler adjustment Protherm Panther

When the boiler is operating without a room regulator, it maintains the temperature set on the display.

Adjustment operations:

– select the equithermal regulation mode – select the heating curve and set the symbol E-;

– select the equithermal regulation mode – in the option of parallel movement, put the symbol P-;

– select the EXH temperature mode and adjust it;

– the room regulator must be switched off, a jumper must be installed between the terminals for its connection.

When the Proterm Panther boiler is operating with a room regulator, it maintains the temperature set on the display. In this case, the unit is switched off by the commands of the room thermostat installed inside the control room. This room should not have a thermostatic valve on the radiator.

During installation, the jumper is removed from the boiler terminals and the room thermostat is connected. When operating in equithermal mode, the temperature changes depending on the change in the outside air temperature.

An external air temperature sensor must be connected to the boiler. The sensor is installed on the coldest wall of the building (north or northwest) at a height of about 2.5 - 3 m. The sensor should not be located in the area of ventilation emissions from windows or other ventilation devices
and exposed to direct sunlight.

Inlet gas pressure control:

Switch off the boiler.

Loosen the screw on the pressure measurement fitting of the gas valve;

Connect an appropriate pressure gauge;

Carry out a launch;

Check the inlet gas pressure, if it is below normal, check the tightness of the gas pipeline;

Turn off the unit and disconnect the pressure gauge, carefully tighten the screw on the measuring point and check its tightness.

Proterm gas boilers are popular with consumers due to their reliability, European quality and reasonable price. Among the floor devices, the Bear series is known, and among the wall devices, the Cheetah is considered the most versatile line. Models with the letter designation MOV have an open combustion chamber, while MTV has a closed combustion chamber. Consider how to set up Proterm gas boilers.

Gas boiler Proterm Gepard can operate in several modes:

  1. "Heating" - you must press the MODE button once, and the display will show the symbol "radiator" with the current value of the pressure in the heating system. Being in this mode, the unit works only for heating production, while DHW is turned off.
  2. "Summer" - activated by pressing MODE twice. The display will show the pressure indicator in the heating system, together with the symbol "faucet with a drop of water". In this mode, the boiler works only for hot water supply.
  3. "Vacation" - you should press the MODE button three times, and the OFF symbol appears on the screen with a pressure reading. In this mode, heating and DHW does not work, but all the protective functions of the device are active.

The desired heating or hot water temperature can be adjusted using the "+" and "-" buttons. The setting is carried out as follows:

  1. The DHW temperature is regulated as follows: after pressing the "+" or "-" button, the symbol "faucet with a drop of water" and "ºC" start flashing. The required temperature value is set in the range from 38ºC to 60ºC.
  2. The heating temperature is also set using the "+" and "-" keys. After pressing one of them, click on the MODE button, a flashing symbol "radiator" and "ºC" appears. Then, using the "+" and "-" keys, set the optimal value of the coolant in the range of 38-85ºC.

The operation of the gas boiler Proterm Cheetah without thermostats is not very economical. For maximum savings, it is recommended to purchase a room thermostat.

How does Proterm Cheetah work when thermostats are connected?

When the gas boiler Protrem Cheetah is working without room thermostat, space heating depends on the heating medium temperature settings.

When connected to a gas boiler Proterm thermostat it is possible to set the desired heating temperature. It must be such that the unit can maintain it, regardless of the temperature outside. The regulator will control heating only in the selected range.

Note! In the room where the room regulator is located, the radiators cannot be equipped with thermostatic valves.

Unit Proterm with two-position regulator able to maintain the set temperature. The boiler will receive a signal to turn on or off depending on the temperature in the room where the regulator is located.

When connected to a gas appliance continuous controller the power will change smoothly to maintain the set room temperature.

The room controller will control the room temperature and send a signal to the unit to turn off if the heat level has reached the setpoint or to turn on if the temperature drops.

The most modern and accurate is equithermal regulation. It is carried out by a temperature controller with an outside temperature sensor. When such a device is connected to a gas boiler, the latter will regulate the temperature of the coolant depending on the conditions on the street.

If the operation of the unit is controlled by an equithermal regulator, it is not recommended to set the maximum temperature of the coolant - this will significantly reduce the efficiency of the system.

Setting up a gas boiler Proterm Bear

The floor-standing gas boiler Proterm Bear has a simple design. There are models on sale that can only provide heating, and there are those that produce hot water. Depending on the characteristics, the Proterm Medved gas boiler is set up as follows:

  1. DHW temperature - press the MODE button, the light in the upper left corner will flash, and another diode will light in the lower right. Using the button with the image of two arrows pointing upwards, set the required temperature in the boiler in the range of 40-70ºC. Confirm the selected temperature by pressing the MODE button.
  2. Heat carrier temperature - in the heating temperature setting mode, the light flashes in the upper left corner. Using the button with two arrows pointing upwards, set the required temperature of the coolant in the range of 45-85ºC. Press the MODE button to activate the selected value.

In the list of temperatures there is a parameter -. When it is selected, the gas boiler switches to work in summer mode, when the heating is turned off, and the hot water supply mode is working.

When connecting an equithermal temperature controller to the boiler, additional settings are made.

The well-known Slovak company Protherm has gained confidence due to the high quality and reliability of the equipment produced. A careful study of the needs of customers, trends in demand for various models of manufactured devices allowed the company to gain a leading position in the market.

The company produces dozens of: floor-standing and wall-mounted, and, with open and closed combustion chambers. Proterm double-circuit wall-mounted gas boilers, to which this article is devoted, have gained particular popularity.

Description of the double-circuit boiler Proterm

Boilers that have the function of heating domestic water are called double-circuit, because they heat water for two systems - a heating circuit and a hot water supply system (DHW).

The DHW system in such boilers, if necessary, can function separately from the heating system. This mode is necessary to supply the house with hot water in the summer.

Wall-mounted double-circuit models are presented in a wide power range - from 11 to 30 kV, which allows the buyer to choose the best option depending on the heated area.

In wall-mounted boilers, a mechanism is provided for releasing the combustion chamber from exhaust gases. This is done in two ways. The first is the forced removal of residual gases using a fan, such a combustion chamber is called closed. The second option - the gases are given the opportunity to independently leave the room through the chimney, this chamber is open.

All products of the Proterm company are completed with the most modern systems of automatic control, management and protection.

Distinctive features

By installing a double-circuit gas boiler Proterm in your house, you will become the owner of a real home boiler room, which, in addition to regular functions, will provide your household with hot water.

The main distinguishing features of the Proterm gas boiler line are listed below:

  • economy, ease of use;
  • a large selection of models - by price, power, functionality, protection capabilities;
  • price-quality ratio - one of the best among manufacturers of similar equipment;
  • high efficiency (more than 90%);
  • models are available with a built-in boiler.

Important! Proterm gas boilers are adapted for Russian conditions - they can function normally even with reduced pressure of gas or water in the mains.

Gas boilers produced by Proterm during operation will not disappoint you and will justify the wildest expectations.

Model range of boilers Proterm

The range of heating boilers offered by Proterm is wide and varied. The product catalog includes:

  1. electric boilers;
  2. solid fuel, working on wood and coal;
  3. universal units that can run on gas and diesel fuel;
  4. high power industrial boilers;

The range of Proterm gas boilers includes two types: and. The company manufactures gas boilers ranging from small wall-mounted units weighing 30 kg to heavy floor-standing units, the most famous of which is the Proterm double-circuit gas boiler model Medved 30 KLZ weighing 155 kg.

As for double-circuit wall-mounted devices, they are produced in 5 series:

  • Panther (Panther).
  • Jaguar (Jaguar).
  • Lynx (Rys).
  • Cheetah (Gepard).
  • Tiger (Tiger).

Each series includes several models that differ in power, performance, price and some other parameters. In particular, the devices of the Panther, Cheetah and Tiger series include models with both closed and open combustion chambers. A typical representative is a double-circuit gas boiler of the company Proterm Panther 25 KTV with a power of 25 kW, in which there is a device for the forced removal of exhaust gases from a closed chamber.

Deciphering the code in the model name:

  1. the two-digit figure corresponds to the rated power input in kW;
  2. the first letter - in combination with the third indicates the model;
  3. the second letter is the type of combustion chamber: O - open, K, T - closed;
  4. the third letter is the boiler type: V, Z - double-circuit, O - single-circuit.

In addition to the parameters indicated in the table, all wall-mounted double-circuit boilers have a number of other characteristics. In particular, they have the following protection systems:

  • safety valve to discharge the coolant when the pressure in the system rises;
  • protection of the circulation pump against jamming;
  • protection of water pipes from freezing;
  • gas control - stops the gas supply to the burner if the flame suddenly goes out;
  • air outlet - getting rid of the trapped air from the heating system;
  • protection of the boiler against overheating with a thermostat.

The electronic control system for gas boilers performs the following functions:

  1. microprocessor control;
  2. device status control;
  3. regulation of indoor air temperature;
  4. display of current temperature readings and fault codes.

Service center maintenance

Every year, preferably before the first start after the summer break, it is recommended to invite a specialist from a certified service organization to inspect and test the boiler. During a preventive inspection, the condition of the gas burner is checked, power is adjusted, burner nozzles and heat exchangers are cleaned. A particularly important part of the inspection is to check the operation of the emergency thermostat and the combustion chamber thermostat.

Attention! When cleaning the nozzles of a gas burner, in no case should they be allowed to change their inner diameter!

Boiler maintenance by the user

Cleaning the casing of the unit without removing the protective cover. Must be carried out after disconnecting the device from the network. Power supply is allowed only after complete drying.

The water pressure in the heating circuit must be checked weekly. If necessary, carry out make-up after the unit has cooled down below 400°C.

It is necessary to regularly, at least once every three months, check the tightness of the connections of the chimney system, the cleanliness of the filter and the sump, and remove dirt if necessary.

If a gas leak is detected, the device must be switched off immediately, the gas valve closed and a specialist service organization called. It is not recommended to repair the unit yourself. For example, the instruction manual for the Gepard wall-mounted double-circuit gas boiler manufactured by Proterm does not recommend trying to fix the malfunctions on your own, so as not to lose the company's warranties.
