What is the weight of the arch of the Crimean bridge. Footage of the arch of the Kerch bridge has been published, the design is striking in size. Something we can be proud of

SIMFEROPOL, August 29 - RIA Novosti, Maxim Groznov. The railway arch of the bridge under construction across the Kerch Strait weighing 6,000 tons is fixed on fairway supports at a height of 35 meters above the water level, the Crimean Bridge information center reported.

Expert on the stage of construction of the bridge to the Crimea: "we have something to brag about"The builders began to raise the arch on the fairway supports of the bridge to the Crimea. Expert Oleg Skvortsov spoke on Sputnik radio about the difficulties the builders managed to overcome.

The operation to install the railway arch span of the bridge across the Kerch Strait began on Sunday morning, shipping traffic in the strait was suspended for 72 hours. The arched span, 227 meters long and 45 meters high, was transported to the fairway supports with the help of floaters. Late in the evening on Monday, the arch was lifted with the help of powerful jacks, which was successfully completed on Tuesday morning.

"The railway arch of the Crimean Bridge has been raised onto the fairway supports and securely fixed at a design height of 35 meters from the water. The ship and aeronautical signaling system is already working on the structure. The final installation on the fairway supports will take another three weeks," the report says.

"The production of the arch, its assembly on stocks during the year, the manufacture of the floating systems on which it was loaded, the fixing of the arch on powerful fairway supports: all together - this is a unique operation. We have gathered the best specialists who were able to do this, and we are very grateful to them for this," Arkady Rotenberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stroygazmontazh LLC, quotes the information center.

The floating supports, with the help of which the arch was towed, returned to the Kerch coast for testing and re-equipment. After carrying out the necessary procedures, a road arch weighing 5,000 tons will be transported and installed. As a result, two arched spans will rise above the fairway, under which ships will pass unhindered, the Crimean Bridge information center noted.

The bridge across the Kerch Strait, which will connect the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, will be the longest in Russia - its length will be 19 kilometers. The start of traffic on the bridge is scheduled for December 2018.

The builders raised one of the two largest structures of the bridge across the Kerch Strait to the fairway supports, to a height of 35 meters above sea level. This is a railway arch span weighing 6 thousand tons. The whole process took about 12 hours, during this time navigation along the Kerch-Yenikalsky Canal was limited.

A video appeared on the Internet showing how bridge builders raised the arched railway span of the Crimean bridge to the fairway supports - to a height of 35 meters from sea level. This was reported by the information center of the Crimean Bridge project.

The process of lifting the arch weighing more than 6 thousand tons to the design height took about 12 hours. During the day, the structure will be fixed.

“The ascent went smoothly. Up to the mark of 10 meters we went more slowly, did a lot of control tests, carried out geodetic control over the state of the structure. Then the main climb began. The arch was raised slightly above the design height for subsequent lowering onto the supporting parts. During the coming day, the structure will be equipped with wind ties - these are devices that fix the arch, ”said Mikhail Piksaev, deputy director for production at Mostootryad-1.

For the installation of the overall structure, “strands” of high-strength cables were fixed along both edges of the arch span, stretched to the arch from 16 jacks installed at the top of the fairway supports. The arch was raised on 700 cables with powerful jacks fixed on supports. The carrying capacity of each jack is 650 tons, so, despite the weight of the arch of 6,000 tons, the builders provided a 40 percent margin for lifting mechanisms,” the Crimean Bridge Information Center said. Jacks were loaded gradually. The initial load of 5 tons was increased to 100 tons. The structure was raised without deviations, within the alignment between the two supports.

After the “separation” of the arch from the floating system by one meter, it was kept suspended for an hour. During this time, the specialists once again checked the reliability of all mechanisms and only after that continued the ascent.

The floating supports, with the help of which the arch was towed, returned to the Kerch coast. They will be re-checked and re-equipped, after which the second arched span - a road one - will be transported and installed in the same sequence. As a result, two arched spans will rise above the fairway, under which ships will pass unhindered. In the next month, the builders will mount the end elements of the arch, as well as unroll it - lower it onto special supporting parts.

Installing the arches of the Crimean bridge in the design position is a unique technological operation.

For the first time in the history of domestic bridge building, transportation, positioning in sea conditions and installation from the water on supports of an overall navigable span are carried out.

The maritime operation is carried out in conditions of limited navigation with a time "window" of 72 hours. In general, the operation brought together hundreds of specialists - these are sailors, specialized engineers, employees of research institutes and ordinary bridge builders.

For the duration of the operation, navigation along the Kerch-Yenikal Canal was limited. The ban did not apply to ships and vessels of the Navy, as well as federal security agencies. Vessel traffic will resume as normal. The final installation of the arch on the fairway supports will take another month.

The arched span of the railway part of the Crimean Bridge is a combination of a span structure with through main trusses and an arch. The movement of trains goes along the elements of the farm, while the arch in the conditions of such an extended span performs a supporting function. Farm elements and arches are connected by pendants. Span length - 227 m. Height at the highest point - 45 m. Width along the axes of the arches - 20 m in tightening, 5 m in the castle (upper point). Trains run on two tracks. The design provides for inspection passages, cable support systems, drainage trays, lightning protection and grounding, a monitoring system for engineering structures, aeronautical and ship alarms, a centralization and blocking system (SCB), communications and lighting poles, and architectural lighting.

The total cost of the Kerch Bridge will amount to 227.92 billion rubles in the prices of the corresponding years. The bridge will be the longest in Russia, it will connect the Crimean peninsula with the mainland of the Russian Federation by road and rail.

The capacity of the four-lane highway will be 40,000 cars per day, the railway will include two tracks with a capacity of 47 pairs of trains per day. The movement of cars on the bridge should open in December 2018, trains - on December 1, 2019. Every day, more than 200 basic pieces of equipment, more than 20 units of watercraft and more than 5 thousand people are involved in the facility.

Kerch Bridge is one of the largest bridges in Russia. Its length is 19 km. The route starts on the Taman Peninsula, passes along the existing five-kilometer dam and Tuzla Island. Then it crosses the Kerch Strait, skirting Cape Ak-Burun from the north, and comes to the Crimean coast.

Earlier, Kiev expressed dissatisfaction with the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait by Russia, because, according to the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine Yuriy Lavrenyuk, this will lead to a reduction in the number of ship calls to the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk. This circumstance, in turn, will lead to a decrease in the profits of trade operators and the administration of Ukrainian seaports.

September 19, 2017.
Bridge builders continue to prepare for the transportation of the second arch span of the bridge across the Kerch Strait. On the evening of September 18, the structure began to move along the roll-out piers and moved a dozen and a half meters. Today, there is a foggy haze over the pier, but the fact that the arch has changed location can be seen in the online camera installed on Mount Mithridates.

The Crimean Bridge Info Center shared the technical details of preparations for this important event.

The road arched span of the Crimean Bridge was removed from the slipway at the Kerch technological site, where it was assembled during the year. With the help of elements of rods and pushing devices, a structure weighing more than 5 thousand tons is moved horizontally over a distance of almost 140 meters. This is taking place in preparation for the future naval operation, which is scheduled for late September-October, subject to weather conditions.

"Movement" is carried out gradually, during the day and at night, with technological breaks. The arch is moving to the place of loading onto floating supports, which will subsequently transport it to the fairway supports of the bridge across the Kerch Strait.

The road arch consists of almost 200 large elements (blocks of orthotropic slabs, arches). For assembly, 4.5 km of butt welds of the first category were made, 175 thousand pieces (or 110 tons) of high-strength bolts were twisted. The structure is coated with anti-corrosion protection in three layers, which required more than 46,000 liters of signal white paint.

“The road arch span is like a stretched bow, where the arch supports the lower part with flexible suspensions,” said Yury Safonov, chief engineer of FKU Uprdor “Taman” of Rosavtodor. – At the same time, the suspensions are not yet 100% tensioned. They will take on the full load after the arch is installed in the design position, on the supports. During future transportation, the arch span will retain its shape due to special auxiliary structures.”

The superstructure moves along roll-out piers on “sleds” – these are metal structures with a polished sheet at the bottom. Along each of the two piers, two traction "threads" are stretched, at the end - jacks. Along the way of the “sled” movement, special sliding “cages” are placed, which provide a minimum coefficient of friction.

When the arch span is moved to the end of the piers, it will be moved to auxiliary legs for subsequent operations in preparation for loading onto floating legs.

In parallel, preparations for the marine operation of the floating supports themselves continue. The road arch is identical to the railway arch span in height, but wider by 10 meters in tightening (lower part) and in the lock (upper part), and also at the time of transportation it is 3 meters longer and lighter by about 500 tons. Therefore, specialists are carrying out the necessary re-equipment of the floating pore superstructure.

Fairway supports are also being prepared for the rise of the arch. Crossbars have already been mounted on the road part of the supports. These are powerful structures 33 meters long and weighing more than 400 tons, which combine the pillars of the supports and evenly distribute the load from the arched span. Builders are preparing work sites on which lifting equipment is installed.

The length of the road arch in the design form is 227 meters. The height at the highest point is 45 meters. Width - 30 meters in tightening (lower part), 15 meters at the top point. The total weight is about 5 thousand tons. The width of the carriageway, including safety lanes, is 23.1 meters.

Structurally - an arch with a rigid tightening. The connection of the lower belt with the arch is provided by flexible suspensions. These are one-piece ropes with a thickness of 6 cm of a closed design, made of high-strength steel wire. A closed rope consists of a core made of round wire, as well as several outer layers of Z-shaped wire. The minimum suspension strength value is 3660 kilonewtons (or 373 tons). There are 22 such pendants on each side of the arch (total 44 for the entire arch); their total length is more than 1.2 km (for one suspension - from 4.7 m to 44 m).

The calculated wind speed at the level of the carriageway of the arched span can reach 40 m/s. Therefore, in order to prevent negative aerodynamic phenomena, studies were carried out, as a result of which the designers chose a certain form of fairings - special structures along the facade of the road arched span. They will minimize wind exposure and ensure comfortable operation of the arches.

In addition to fairings, the arch is equipped with inspection passages, cable-supporting structures, drainage trays, lightning protection and grounding, elements of the engineering structures monitoring system, aeronautical and ship alarms, architectural lighting, elements of barrier fencing and lighting poles. These elements are mounted both on the slipway and after installation on the fairway.

A new victory has been won in the construction of the passage through the Kerch Strait. The assembly of the road arch has been completed, its vault is closed at a height of 45 m from the base. At the same time, the railway arch of the Crimean bridge was also prepared for installation.

In order to put together "almost 200 large elements - blocks of orthotropic slabs, arched vaults, etc.", as Mikhail Piksaev, head of a separate division, deputy director for production of Mostootryad-1, Mikhail Piksaev, said, about 4.5 km of butt joints were made, twisted 175 thousand pieces - 110 tons - high-strength bolts. In the near future, flexible suspensions will be installed, operational systems will be installed and everything will be covered with anti-corrosion paint. After that, the span weight will reach almost 5 thousand tons, according to the website of the Crimean bridge.

The lower part of the structure (tightening) with the arched vault is connected by 44 flexible pendants (22 on each side of the arch) from 5 to 44 m long and each weighing from 100 to more than 800 kilograms. They are solid ropes 6 cm thick made of high-strength steel wire, each of which is designed for a pulling force of at least more than 370 tons. More than 1.2 km of high-strength steel rope with a total weight of almost 25 tons was required for the entire road arch. The suspension will be tensioned to the value determined by the project after the installation of an arched span over the fairway of the Kerch Strait.

Since the calculated wind speed at the level of the roadway of the arched span can reach 40 m/s, in order to avoid negative phenomena, studies were carried out that helped the designers choose the shape of fairings - special structures along the facade of the road arched span. With their help, wind impact will be minimized and comfortable operation of the arch will be ensured.

The arched span of the railway bridge is already ready for installation. Its assembly was completed in mid-June, then the builders installed inspection passages, elements of the monitoring system for engineering structures, lightning protection and grounding, aeronautical and ship signaling. The total weight of this structure exceeded 6 thousand tons.

Arched spans are the largest elements of the Crimean bridge. The length of each of them is 227 m, the height of the arch at the highest point is 45 m (80 m from the water).

When all the work is finally completed, the arched spans will be transported one by one and mounted on the fairway supports - first along the railway part, then along the road part. Vessels will then be able to pass unhindered through a free space 185 m wide and 35 m high from the water.

The construction of the Crimean bridge began on February 19, 2016. Its opening is scheduled for the end of 2018.
