Our family loves fish, but it all depends on the variety, because small, bony fish are quite tasty, but they need to be eaten carefully, and silver carp is just right: affordable and easy to prepare, especially with vegetables. The only thing that until recently did not suit my husband was the smell during cooking. It was this problem that I tried to solve by cooking silver carp in a slow cooker, and even steaming it. The combination of onions and carrots, potatoes and broccoli with cauliflower did the job - my husband was delighted and even surprised to see silver carp with vegetables for dinner and not smell it.

But this steamed fish is not just a very quick dish, it is a truly healthy lunch or dinner. After all, not only silver carp, but the above-mentioned vegetables also belong to products that are of great benefit to the body. Carrots - vitamin A, potatoes are an ideal product for the combination of sodium and calcium salts, broccoli is a wonderful vegetable for those who want to lose weight (it contains only 30 kcal per 100 g), it contains a lot of vitamin C, cauliflower - contains sodium, iron, magnesium, and its protein content is more than that of white cabbage. How to cook silver carp in a slow cooker, steamed with vegetables:

Cooking silver carp does not take much time. First, prepare the fish. Peel it, rinse thoroughly and divide into portions. Rub them to your liking with your favorite fish spices; of course, you can limit yourself to just salt and pepper. Place the prepared silver carp in the tray of a multicooker (I have Dex dmc-60) for steaming. Peel the potatoes and chop them coarsely, peel the carrots and cut them into large circles. Fill empty spaces in the steamer basket with vegetables.

Place washed and disassembled broccoli and cauliflower on top. Lightly salt everything and add your favorite seasonings for vegetables. For me it was coriander and a little paprika.

Pour some water into the multicooker bowl (I had it up to the first mark), and to speed up the process and not have to wait for the multicooker to heat the water and start cooking, you can immediately pour hot water. Set the multicooker to “Steam” and cook the silver carp for 25 minutes. After the beep sounds indicating the completion of work, the dish can be served.

Fish with vegetables already sounds delicious, but steamed fish with vegetables is also very healthy. I suggest cooking large silver carp steaks with potatoes, carrots, broccoli and sweet peppers in a slow cooker or double boiler. You will significantly save your time by preparing both the fish and the side dish for it at the same time. Instead of silver carp, you can take absolutely any fish :)

To cook fish with steamed vegetables, take two portions of silver carp steaks, fish seasoning (my seasoning includes mustard grains, rosemary, garlic, sea salt, white pepper, thyme, lemon zest), potatoes, carrots, broccoli, sweet pepper, salt, olive oil.

Place the silver carp steaks in the tray of a multicooker for steaming, sprinkle each piece of fish with fish seasoning. I have seasonings in the grinder, which is included in the composition, I wrote above. You can take your favorite spices and seasonings for fish or limit yourself to just salt. Don’t forget to pour water into the multicooker saucepan, since we will be steaming the fish and vegetables. Prepare all vegetables: wash, peel, chop.

Place pieces of potatoes and carrots in the empty spaces.

Place broccoli (or cauliflower) florets and large pieces of sweet pepper pulp on top.

Season the vegetables and drizzle with a little olive oil.

Cook the silver carp with vegetables for 25 minutes ("Steam" program).

Serve the fish with vegetables as soon as the cooking process is complete, that is, hot. When cold, both fish and vegetables will no longer be as tasty.

Enjoy your meal!!!

In order for our baked silver carp to be more juicy and aromatic, it will be laid out on top of a vegetable bed. To do this, peel the onions and cut them into half rings. Lightly grease the foil with sunflower or olive oil (just a little bit so that the vegetables don’t stick) and place the onion on it.

Place carrots on top of the onion, which have been peeled and coarsely chopped.

Gut and clean the silver carp, rinse and dry slightly. Make deep cuts on the back of the silver carp or cut into portions. Rub the silver carp with salt, pepper, coriander, ginger and squeezed lemon juice to taste. Place slices of chopped garlic into the slits. Place the fish in foil on top of the prepared vegetables.

Wrap the silver carp dish in foil and place it in a multicooker bowl (I have Dex dmc-60).
