How to use a water heater correctly: operating instructions for flow and storage units. How to use the storage water heater Edison water heater 30 liters instructions for use

The Termex water heater (80 liters), the instructions for use of which will be described below, is manufactured using modern technologies, high quality materials are used in the process. Such devices have shutdown protection, which ensures electrical safety during operation. This equipment can be used to provide hot water to industrial and domestic facilities that have a cold water pipeline. The pressure must be maintained in the system, the level of which is from 0.05 to 0.6 MPa. The device must be used in heated closed rooms. The instrument must not be operated in continuous flow mode.

User manual

If you decide to choose a Termex water heater (80 liters), the instructions for use of which will tell you how to extend the life of the device, you should be aware that models are offered for sale with mechanical and electronic control. In the first case, the keys responsible for power selection are located on the outer panel. By using both, you will provide power equal to 2 kilowatts. This will meet the needs, based on the amount of hot water that needs to be received.

When using a heater, you can adjust the temperature using the toggle switch located on the control panel. By turning it counterclockwise until it stops, you disconnect the water heater from the mains. If you turn the knob clockwise, you can increase the temperature of the coolant to 75 degrees.

Using the electronic control model

The Termex water heater (80 liters), the instructions for use of which are included with the device, may have electronic control. In this case, turning on or off can be done with the left button, which is located on the panel. At the same time, the heating temperature will appear on the display, and after 2.5 seconds it will already be possible to see the current temperature of the water in the heater. If you need to change the water heating temperature when an electronic control model is available, you can use one of the three softkeys.

Different operating modes

The Termex water heater (80 liters), the instructions for use of which will allow you to install it yourself, can operate in one of several modes. When first turned on or after a power outage, the temperature is set to 75 degrees. If we are talking about models with an electronic panel or a digital sensor, then after a power outage, the equipment goes into the “Demo” mode, which involves a demo mode. The heating elements will not turn on.

Electric storage water heaters "Thermex" can be taken out of the demo mode by simultaneously pressing and holding for 5 seconds the keys that are located on the control panel and indicate the movement up and down. The device can go into it accompanied by flashing of the company logo, and the indicator indicates the level of water temperature in the heater.

during operation

The operation of the Termex water heater may be accompanied by operation. In order to return the equipment to working condition, it is necessary to press the button of the same name. If at the same time the protection worked again, you need to contact the service specialists, since only they can eliminate the cause of the breakdown. If you do not intend to operate the water heater in the winter, then there is a high probability that not only the device, but also the water lines will freeze. In order to eliminate this trouble, it is necessary to turn off the power and drain the water, this is the only way you can avoid damage to the internal tank.

Connection to the water supply system

The Termex water heater, the connection of which is best entrusted to specialists (only in this case the equipment warranty will apply), must be installed in several stages. Initially, a safety valve is installed at the cold water inlet. At the same time, it is important to ensure the tightness of the connection, to use an insulating material similar to the FUM tape. The manufacturer prohibits using a water heater of this brand without a safety valve or operating it in tandem with valves from other companies.

In the process of using the described water heater, drops may appear that seep from the drain beak of the valve. This may be due to excessive pressure during heating. Users are advised to attach a silicone or rubber tube to the drain beak to allow moisture to escape. The scheme of the Termex water heater is presented in the article, it should help you if you need to connect the equipment to the water supply system. The master must remember that the cold water supply pipe must be located below the hot water intake pipe. Use in the process of this you need metal-plastic, copper or plastic pipes. A flexible plumbing connection will help with these manipulations.

As soon as the electric "Termex" are connected, the cold water supply valve can be opened, this also applies to the hot water tap on the mixer. So you can ensure the outflow of air from the device. When cold water flows out in a continuous stream, this will indicate that the filling of the water heater has already been completed. If the device is installed in a place where there is no plumbing, cold water can be supplied from an auxiliary tank. However, it must be placed at a height of 5 meters from the top of the device. If this is not possible, then it is additionally permissible to use a pumping station.

Note

Today, electric storage water heaters are very popular. Reviews "Termeks" has positive. These devices can be operated on a lighter principle. For this, it is recommended to install a drain valve. This applies to those models that do not have a drain pipe included. If it is necessary to install a water heater in a system where the pressure is greater than the above, it is necessary to place a reducer at the inlet in front of the equipment, which will have to be purchased additionally. With it, you can reduce the water pressure to the nominal level.

It is important to remember that due to poor water quality, scale can form on the surface of the heating element, which will certainly cause damage to the elements. This case is not covered by the warranty. In order to carry out maintenance, you will need to perform a number of actions. Among them, it is necessary to highlight the connection of the water heater from the mains, shutting off the supply of cold water, as well as removing the safety valve.

A boiler is one of the most popular devices for heating water, which has a lot of advantages, for example, complete autonomy from heating, simple installation, the ability to be powered from a conventional power grid, and the absence of strict building requirements when it happens.

The water in the storage tank of the boiler cools down extremely slowly due to the presence of thermally insulating materials in the design. After that, you must definitely save the instruction manual, moreover, it is desirable to have an idea about the operation of the device. This will ensure maximum service life. With this knowledge, you can easily organize efficient water heating.

We will not talk about the principle of operation and design features of water heaters, since this is described in detail in the article about. Let's consider only systems of the built-in protection.

Built-in storage water heater protection

Even at the manufacturing stage, manufacturers equip devices with several types of protection necessary for safer operation. One of the most dangerous elements of the boiler is the storage tank, which is a kind of steam bomb. If you do not take care of the additional protection of the tank, then at high pressure caused by the boiling of the liquid, it will not withstand the load. Of course, the heater will continue to work for some time, but at one “perfect” moment it will simply explode.

Often, water heaters are equipped with three degrees of protection.

Trial run

Note! Cleaning the boiler “to a shine” is undesirable, because during operation you can damage its parts. Also, after cleaning, 1.5 liters of vinegar can be poured into the boiler to heighten the effect.

How to save money when operating a boiler

The higher the temperature inside the storage tank, the more water you will receive after mixing hot with cold. If you live alone, and stand in a house / apartment, then it is advisable to set the device to the temperature regime at which you do not have to dilute water at all. So you save money on electricity and water supply.

Note that some modern models are able to automatically set the optimal energy consumption with the highest efficiency.

The boiler can save energy. But it is better to buy a quality boiler than to try to heat water in unconventional ways.

If your family consists of several people, then you will have to set the maximum temperature by mixing hot water with cold, because otherwise there will not be enough for everyone.

New appliances in the house require study of the instruction manual. Boring job. The worthwhile information is always hidden behind a pile of technical terms and is often difficult to digest. But it is on this that the correct and correct operation of the devices depends. To connect the boiler, you can call a specialist, but you can save money and do all the work yourself. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the standard instructions for connecting the boiler. Everything is explained here, clearly and concisely.

Boiler installed. Installation work was carried out by specialists or the owner, it does not matter. In any case, you need to check the operation of the system. To do this, following the above tips, you need to start the heater for the first time.

  1. We start by checking the correct connection of the systems responsible for heating water. Fidelity, reliability of the connection of phase and zero wires, the presence of grounding. The operation of the circuit breaker should also be checked. For this, a device is used - a tester or a special electrician's screwdriver.
  2. Next comes the search for leaks in the system.. It will be useful to control the connection of underwater pipes. Availability and diagnostics of the check valve operation.
  3. Running water into the boiler. Attention, the correct sequence of actions during the first and subsequent launches of the system will be described in the next section.
  4. Repeated search for water leaks at pipe installation sites b.
  5. Diagnostics of heater operation. Turn on the machine by pressing the power button.
  6. Fixing initial indicators temperature sensor.
  7. Recheck after 15 minutes. The growth of indicators indicates the correct connection of the heating elements.

Sequencing

It is worth mentioning right away that the following the start sequence is correct for both flow and storage heaters. A couple of nuances - in the case of the first type, you do not have to wait for the tank to be filled with water, and close the tap at the 2nd point.

  1. Start by turning off the hot water supply, which comes from the urban supply system. If you skip this step, the water heated by the boiler will go into the common riser, regardless of the check valve.
  2. Opening a hot water faucet. We are waiting for the liquid remaining in them to drain from the pipes. We close the tap.
  3. Two pipes go to the bottom of the boiler. One, marked with a blue ring, is underwater, the other, with a red marker, is used to supply hot water to pipes.
  4. Opening the valve on the underwater pipe. Water begins to flow into the storage device.
  5. Next, unwind the second valve on the boiler. Allowing the water to go out into the pipes.
  6. Turn on the hot water on the faucet. We are waiting for air to escape from the system and an even stream of water to flow. We shut off the water.
  7. We connect the heater to the electrical network and set the desired temperature.

In a house where there is no hot water supply, the first step must be skipped. Subsequent switching on of the heater will occur according to the same scheme. The only difference is in the 6th paragraph. Then, not air, but stagnant water will begin to come out of the heater tank.

Heating mode selection

Set the heating mode. The main thing in this matter is to set the water temperature that is comfortable for the user.. However, here are a few tips, the implementation of which will significantly extend the life of the device. This will save you money on future repairs.

  • Set the temperature to 30-40 degrees as little as possible. Under such conditions, bacteria will quickly develop inside the storage tank. This will lead to an unpleasant musty odor. The walls will be covered with a fungus that is difficult to remove.
  • Optimum operating mode, 55-60 degrees. In such a temperature range, less scale will form on the heating element. The risk of mold will be reduced. It is comfortable for human skin.
  • Once a week, the boiler must be set to 90 degrees. Wait a couple of hours, and return to the previous mode. This is done to completely destroy bacteria in the storage tank.
  • Some devices have an economical mode of operation. The heater in this case does not consume less electricity. The settings will be set, as in paragraph 2, and we are talking about reducing the risk of breakage.
  • In the case of a flow type heater, the temperature is also controlled by water pressure..

Rules for using the device

You can use the accumulative type device immediately after the first start. To do this, turn it on and select the operating mode. Throughout the operation, you will have to follow some rules. They will help increase the life of the boiler.

  • Before switching on, check the presence of water in the tank. This will prevent failure of the heaters.
  • It is recommended to install a filter on the pipe supplying water to the boiler. It will protect against dirt and reduce water hardness.
  • Descale the storage tank at least once a year.
  • Periodically monitor the performance of the protective anode, change if necessary.

Flow type devices require several other rules to be followed.

  • Check the water pressure before turning on the power. A weak jet will not allow the device to function normally.
  • In case of uncomfortable temperature, adjust it with the buttons on the body or by turning the mixer tap.
  • If the heater is installed in a bathroom, organize splash protection.
  • Hot water is no longer needed - be sure to turn off the device.

The reliability of the equipment depends not only on the quality of the products. Also important: the correct installation, inclusion and use of equipment. Compliance with the recommendations given in the article will significantly increase the period of uninterrupted operation of the boiler.

Description and principle of operation of EWH

The outer case of the EWH, depending on the model, is made of various high-quality materials - shock-resistant plastic, low-carbon or special polished stainless steel. The inner tank is made of high-quality stainless steel containing titanium, which ensures high corrosion resistance and, as a result, a long service life.
The space between the outer casing and the inner tank is filled with polyurethane foam - a modern, environmentally friendly thermal insulation with the best heat saving characteristics. Models RZL-VP, RZL-VS, RSD have two threaded pipes: for cold water inlet (with blue ring) and hot water outlet (with red ring), and models RZL-HP, RZL-HS, RZB, RZB-D, RZB-F, RZB-L equipped with an additional drain pipe (with a red ring, closed with a metal plug) for draining water and flushing the inner tank.

On the front side of the EWH there is a thermometer (model RZL-HS, RZL-VS, 30 l -150 l). The location of the control panel depends on the model and type of EWH: RZL-VS, RSD - from below, RZL-HS - on the right, RZB, RZB-D, RZB-F, RZB-L, RZL-HP, RZL-VP and models of the ROUND PLUS series - on the front side.

A tubular electric heater (TEH) and thermostat and thermal switch sensors are mounted on a removable flange. The heater is used to heat water and is controlled by a thermostat, which has a smooth temperature control up to + 75 ° C. The thermostat automatically maintains the water temperature at the level set by the user. The temperature control knob is located on the mechanical panel
management. Electronic models have a touch control ().
The thermal switch serves to protect the EWH from overheating and disconnects the heating element from the network when the water temperature exceeds + 95 ° С ().

Model RZB10 equipped with an autonomous unregulated thermostat located under the top cover of the device. For RZB10 and RSD models a pilot lamp is installed that induces the heating mode of the heater. The thermal switch in the RZB10 and RSD models is located under the top cover.
The EWH operating mode indicator for models 30l - 150l is the illumination lamps for the power selection keys: they light up when the water is heated and go out when the water heating temperature set on the thermostat is reached. In models with electronic control, the indication is carried out by the control lamp L1 () - it lights up when the set temperature is reached.

An RCD is mounted on the electrical cord of the device, which ensures disconnection of the EWH from the power supply network in case of leakage or breakdown of the supply voltage to the grounded elements of the device.
Silver models in their design contain an electronic device with a silver anode that provides disinfection of heated water. This series of water heaters is a "new generation" product that cares about your health.
The safety valve performs the functions of a non-return valve, preventing water from the water heater from entering the water supply network in cases of a drop in the latter pressure and in cases of an increase in pressure in the tank with strong water heating, as well as the function of a protective valve, relieving excess pressure in the tank with strong water heating. During the operation of the water heater, water may leak from the discharge pipe of the safety valve to relieve excessive pressure, which occurs for the safety of the water heater. This exhaust pipe must remain open to the atmosphere and be installed permanently down and in a non-freezing environment.

It is necessary to ensure the drainage of water from the outlet pipe of the safety valve to the sewerage system, providing for the appropriate drainage during the installation of the EWH.

It is necessary to regularly (at least once a month) drain a small amount of water through the outlet pipe of the safety valve into the sewer to remove lime deposits and to check the operation of the valve. To open the valve, it is equipped with a handle. It is necessary to ensure that during the operation of the water heater this handle is in the position that closes the drain of water from the tank.

Safety instructions for working with the Termex water heater

The electrical safety of the EWH is guaranteed only if there is an effective grounding, made in accordance with the current rules for the installation of electrical installations.
Plumbing connections and valves must comply with the parameters of the water supply network and have the necessary quality certificates.

During installation and operation of EWH it is not allowed:

  • connect the power supply if the EWH is not filled with water;
  • remove the protective cover when the power is on;
  • use EWH without grounding;
  • include EWH in the water supply network with a pressure of more than 0.6 MPa;
  • connect the EWH to the water supply without a safety valve;
  • drain water from the EWH when the power supply is switched on;
  • use spare parts not recommended by the Manufacturer;
  • use water from EWH for cooking;
  • use water containing mechanical impurities (sand, small stones), which can lead to malfunction of EWH and safety valve;
  • change the design and mounting dimensions of the EWH brackets.

Installation and connection

ATTENTION! All plumbing and electrical installation work must be carried out by qualified personnel with a mandatory entry in the “Connection Mark” section (see the “ ” section).

Placement and installation of the instrument

EWH is installed in accordance with the marking indicated on the body and the following table:

It is recommended to install EWH as close as possible to the place where hot water is used in order to reduce heat losses in pipes.
The EWH is suspended by the housing brackets on anchor hooks fixed in the wall. Installation of hooks in the wall must exclude spontaneous movement of EWH brackets along them.

To maintain EWH, the distance from the protective cover to the nearest surface in the direction of the removable flange axis must be at least:
30 centimeters - for models 5-80 liters;
50 centimeters - for models of 100-150 liters.

ATTENTION! In order to avoid damage to the property of the consumer and (or) third parties in case of malfunctions of the hot water supply system, it is necessary to install the EWH in rooms with waterproofing of the floors and drainage to the sewer, and in no case place objects exposed to water under the EWH. When placing the EWH in unprotected premises, it is necessary to install a protective tray under the EWH with drainage into the sewer.
If the EWH is placed in places that are difficult to access for technical and warranty service (mezzanines, niches, interceiling spaces, etc.), the EWH is dismantled and installed by the consumer independently or at his expense.
Note: the protective tray is not included in the package of EWH.

Connection to the water supply of the Termex electric water heater

Install a safety valve at the cold water inlet, marked with a blue ring, twisting 3.5 - 4 turns, ensuring the tightness of the connection with any waterproofing material (linen, FUM tape, etc.).
It is forbidden to operate the EWH without a safety valve or to use valves from other manufacturers.

Rice. 1. Scheme of connecting EWH to the water supply

During operation of the EWH, you can observe the appearance of drops from the drainage beak of the safety valve (release of excessive pressure when water is heated). It is recommended to attach a rubber or silicone tube of the appropriate diameter to the drainage beak to remove moisture.
Connection to the water supply system is made in accordance with Fig. 1 only with the help of copper, metal-plastic or plastic pipes, as well as a special flexible plumbing supply. It is recommended to supply water to the EWH through a mud filter installed on the cold water line (not included in the delivery set).
After connecting, open the cold water supply valve to the EWH and the hot water tap on the mixer to ensure the outflow of air from the water heater. When the EWH is finally filled, cold water will flow from the mixer tap in a continuous stream.

When EWH is connected in places not provided with water supply, it is allowed to supply water to EWH from an auxiliary tank located at a height of at least 5 meters from the EWH top point, or using a pumping station.

Note: to facilitate maintenance of the EWH during operation, it is recommended to install a drain valve in accordance with fig. 1 (for models not equipped with a drain pipe (not included)).
If the pressure in the water supply system exceeds 0.6 MPa, then it is necessary to install a reducer (not included in the delivery set) at the inlet before the EWH to reduce the water pressure to normal.

Connecting the appliance to the mains

ATTENTION! Before switching on the power supply, make sure that the EWH is filled with water.

The EWH is equipped with a standard power cord with a plug and an RCD. The outlet must have a ground terminal and be located in a place protected from moisture.
The socket and the electrical wiring connected to it must be designed for a rated power of at least 2000W.
Insert the plug into the socket and press the button located on the RCD.

Operation and maintenance of the Termex water heater

Models with mechanical control on the EWH control panel have buttons (I and II) for power selection with built-in indicator lamps. Button I on corresponds to 1.3 kW, both buttons on correspond to 2 kW. You can choose one or another heating power, based on your needs in the amount of hot water or depending on the season.

In models equipped with an electronic control panel with a digital display, the water heater is turned on / off by the left button on the control panel " ON/OFF» (Fig. 4), while the display shows the set heating temperature. After 2.5 seconds, the display shows the current water temperature in the EWH. The choice of heating power is carried out by the middle button "Power selector" on the control panel. The 2 kW mode is accompanied by the indication of a control lamp L2, A 1.3 kW- indication of a control lamp L3 ().

During EWH operation, the consumer can regulate the heating temperature:

  • for models with mechanical control using the regulator located on the control panel. When the regulator is turned counterclockwise to the stop, the EWH is disconnected from the mains, when turned clockwise, the temperature gradually increases up to +75 ° C. In the RZB10 model, the possibility of manual temperature control is not provided;
  • electronically controlled models are equipped with a display. The control is carried out using three touch keys, the modes are controlled by the information on the display and the indication of three control lamps. To select the heating temperature, press the right button “Temp. Selector » () on the control panel. The resolution of the temperature change is 5°C. When the EWH is first turned on (or after a power outage), the temperature is set to 75°C by default.

If during the operation of the EWH the RCD tripped, to return it to the working state, it is necessary to press the button on the RCD. If at the same time the RCD trips again, it is necessary to call a service specialist to eliminate the reasons why it trips.
If you do not use the EWH in winter and there is a possibility of freezing of water lines and the water heater itself, it is recommended to turn off the power and drain the water from the EWH in order to avoid damage to the internal tank.

Maintenance (TO) Termex

During maintenance, the presence of scale on the heating element is checked. At the same time, the sediment that may form in the lower part of the EWH is removed. If scale has formed on the heating element, then it can be removed using special cleaning agents, or mechanically. It is recommended that one year after connecting the EWH, the first maintenance should be carried out by employees of a specialized organization and, based on the intensity of scale and sediment formation, determine the timing of subsequent maintenance. This action will maximize the life of the EWH. In Silver models, it is necessary to replace the silver anode once a year by a specialized organization.

Attention: Scale buildup on the heating element can damage it.
Note: Damage to the heating element due to the formation of scale is not covered by the warranty. Regular maintenance is not included in the warranty obligations of the manufacturer and seller.

To carry out maintenance, you must do the following:

  1. turn off the EWH power supply;
  2. allow hot water to cool or use it through a mixer;
  3. shut off the supply of cold water to EWH;
  4. unscrew the safety valve or open the drain valve;
  5. put a rubber hose on the cold water supply pipe or on the drain valve, directing its other end into the sewer;
  6. open the hot water tap on the mixer and drain the water from the EWH through the hose into the sewer;
  7. remove the protective cover, disconnect the wires, unscrew and remove the support flange from the housing;
  8. if necessary, clean the heating element from scale and remove sediment from the tank;
  9. assemble, fill the EWH with water and turn on the power.

In models with a drain pipe, it is enough to shut off the cold water supply to the EWH, unscrew the plug on the drain pipe and open the hot water tap. After the water has drained, you can open the cold water supply to the EWH for some time for additional washing of the tank.
When EWH maintenance is carried out by a specialized organization, a corresponding note must be made in the service ticket.
If the rules for installation, operation, maintenance of the EWH are observed and the quality of the water used complies with the current standards, the manufacturer sets the service life of the EWH at 7 years.

The outer case of the device is made of high-quality material, and the inner part is made of stainless steel in combination with titanium, as a result of which high resistance to rust and durability of the device is achieved.

The remaining space between the body and the inner tank is covered with a special hermetic material (polyurethane foam), this is a very environmentally friendly and modern way of thermal insulation.

The temperature sensor is located on the outer side of the case. Water heating is carried out thanks to the heating elements located inside the tank, the temperature of which is regulated by a thermostat. The thermostat will maintain the set temperature.

For safety, water heaters are equipped with a function to automatically turn off the device when the maximum allowable temperature is reached - 95 degrees.

Safety instructions for working with a water heater

To achieve the required level of safety, the device must be grounded in accordance with the current regulations for the installation of electronic devices.

Instructions for installing and connecting the device

Installation and connection of the water heater must be carried out only by a qualified specialist, otherwise it may malfunction and cause physical and property damage to health.

Placement and installation of the water heater

It is important that the location of the water heater is close to the place where hot water is used, this will help reduce heat loss when passing through the pipes.

The water heater is mounted on pre-hammered anchors to a special housing bracket.

In the room where the installation of the Termex water heater is planned, there must be waterproofing of the floor and access to the sewer. It is not allowed to place electrical appliances and objects that are “afraid of water” under the operating device. In the event that these conditions cannot be met, it is necessary at least to install a special protective tray with access to the sewer.
There is no protective tray in Termex kits with a tank capacity of 15, 30, 50 and 80 liters.

Electrical connection

Before connecting the water heater to the mains, it must be completely filled with water.

The appliance comes with a standard cord and plug for connecting to the mains. Without fail, the socket must be modern (with a ground terminal) and located in a zone protected from moisture. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the maximum allowable power for the socket and cord, which must be more than two thousand watts, otherwise the wire or socket may overheat and a fire hazard situation will arise.

Maintenance and operation manual, tank capacity 15, 30, 50 and 80 liters

The device is controlled by the control panel, which is located on the front side. Such control can be either mechanical or touch, depending on the model chosen.

In the Termex models, with a tank capacity of 15, 30, 50 and 80 liters and with mechanical control, the control is carried out using buttons (1 or 2), which indicate the power of the water heater, where "1" means a power of 1.3 kW of energy, and the total power is 2 kW. The power level is selected based on the situation and needs, as well as depending on the time of year.

A water heater with touch control and a digital screen is considered more functional and modern. Turning on and off the power supply of the device is carried out by the "ON / OFF" keys on the equipment screen. The screen also displays information about the current temperature level. Power can be adjusted using the button located in the middle - "Power selector".

In the process of using the Termex water heater, the temperature setting is carried out:

In devices with a mechanical control system, using the regulator on the front side of the device. In such a device, the temperature is reduced by turning the regulator from right to left, and accordingly, by turning the regulator from left to right, the temperature increases, the maximum level of which can reach +75 degrees. You can turn off such an electric water heater by turning the knob from right to left until it stops. It should be noted that the Termex RZB10 water heater model does not provide for manual temperature control.

In devices with electronic (touch) control, there is an LCD display. Control is carried out using three touch buttons. Also on the screen, you can select the appropriate operating mode of the water heater. To set the desired temperature, you need to press the “Temp” key a couple of times. Selector" on the front of the instrument. In all Termex electric water heaters, the factory default temperature is set to 75 degrees, which is also restored in case of an unexpected power outage.

If during the operation of the water heater the automatic shutdown system works, then after the time has elapsed, turn on the device by pressing the corresponding button. If the device turns off again after turning it on, then you can not do without the involvement of a specialist in this matter. In no case do not try to open or repair the device yourself, as it can be repaired only with special tools and professional skills.

If the water heater is not used for a long time during the cold season, it is recommended to turn it off and drain the water from the internal tank of the device in order to avoid freezing and damage to the water heater.

Maintenance

Maintenance involves the identification and subsequent removal of scale that forms on heating elements. Also, sediment may form in the lower part of the internal tank of the appliance, which must also be removed. Descaling is carried out with the help of special cleaning agents. The intensity of the maintenance is determined by special workers after the analysis of the resulting scale. The first maintenance of the device is recommended after a year of use. Failure to perform cleaning work will lead to a decrease in work efficiency and a decrease in the level of efficiency.

In most cases, the reason for the failure of water heaters is precisely the scale formed on the heating element. If the heating element or the heating device fails, and the cause of this is the formation of scale, in this case, repair under warranty is not provided. Periodic maintenance must be carried out by the user.

In order to carry out proper maintenance of the device, it is necessary:
1. Turn off the device
2. Wait until the hot water has cooled down, or drain it through the faucet
3. Close the cold water supply
4. Unscrew the drain valve
5. It is necessary to put on a regular hose on the valve and direct it to the sewer
6. It is also necessary to drain the hot water through the mixer
7. Now you can remove the body of the device, disconnect the wires, unscrew and pull out the support flange from the water heater
8. Check for scale on the heating element and at the bottom of the tank, if any, carry out appropriate cleaning.
9. Assemble the device in reverse order.

This article examined the technical characteristics and instructions for using the Termex electric water heater, with a capacity of 30 liters. Note that the manufacturer has set the minimum service life of the Termex water heater to seven years. But this is only on condition that the water in the system meets the required standards and does not contain a large amount of impurities and heavy elements, and that the rules for installation, operation and timely maintenance were observed during the use of the device.
